Plymouth Acclaim - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

Your water pump is driven by your timing belt which should be changed at same time unless it was done recently. If your still thinking of doing it, stop in at local parts store for info on what's involved, parts prices etc., and decide from there. I believe some even give you a step by step print out now too.

Depends on what you mean by rubbing on wheel well?

if the wheel is bent inwards, so when the steering is set straight ahead, the damaged wheel is angled inwards or outwards then the tracking arm is bent!

if the wheel well has dropped on the damaged side then it probably is the suspension!

If the belts pull to one side, there is an alignment issue. Probably worn water pump bearing?

when you press the brake pedal the brake master cylinder vacuum booster takes vacuum away from the engine and that slows the idle speed just enough to trigger the low pressure oil light. Pull the oil pressure sending unit out and hook up an oil pressure test gage, if the pressure is above 15 PSI hot engine idle in drive replace the oil pressure sending unit.

run the fault codes .
indices that the ambient temp /baro sensors are not working and the ECm is not getting the signal to increase the fuel requirement ( same as pulling on the choke m)
