How can i get my tappets fixed
its okay to drive it until you get it fixed next week.they can perform a valve adjustment which will improve or eleminate the valve noise(tappet noise)some of these are done by using a feeler gage and loosening a lock nut and turning a screw adjustment until the proper clearance is obtained and some are adjusted by replacing a shim that sits on top of the valve lifter.
Door lock
It might be the actuator motor I would call a hyundai dealership and ask about it. If you decide to replace it give them this part # 9573625020
Car wont start, seems like battery went dead
If the car doesn't start with a jump you might have a bad alternator. The alternator supplies voltage to the car once the engine is running. If the battery is dead, and the alternator isn't putting out sufficient voltage, the engine cannot run. Then again sometimes a car with an extremely dead or internally shorted battery WON'T start with a jump. Replace the battery and try again.
Car sometimes wont start unless
P0734 = 4th gear incorrect ratio (that's the torque converter 'lock-up' clutch - inside the converter).
P1401 = doesn't exist for 2002 Hyundai Accent's
P1401 exists for 2000 Accent = DM-TL Air Pump Motor Curent Draw is higher or lower than expected (normal is 17-36 mA). DM-TL = Diagnostic Module for Tank Leakage & is part of the Evaporative Emissions Control System.
These two DTC's are not associated/part of the Accent's Engine Managemenet System (EMS).
Best to have a qualified/certified Hyundai Service Technician properly diagnose this starting problem with your vehicle.

Standing in front of the car, #1 cylinder is the farthest left. This is the one you have to get at top dead center. Remove the spark plug and insert a rod that is long, so you don't loose it in the cylinder. Then turn the crankshaft until the rod is all the way up and just starts to go down. When it starts to go down crank it back a hair , this is top dead center. Being a 4 cylinder , you don't have to worry if it is on the compression stroke. You will set the cam for this.
Need to adjust the low beams on my '02 Hyundai
Headlight adjustment is fairly straight forward, you will need to park the car on a level surface with a fence or wall 25 feet away and a reference point for measurements to the right or left of the car. First measure from the reference point to the center line of the car then transfer that to the wall, second, measure from the center of the car to the center of the headlights and transfer those to the wall, third, measure from the ground to the center of the headlights and transfer that to the wall. Once all of the reference points have been transferred, adjust the left (driver's side) headlight so that the most intense part of the beam is 2 inches below and 2 inches to the right of the left mark, the right (passenger side) headlight should be adjusted so that it will be 2 inches below and 1 inch to the left of the mark. If done correctly, you will have very good night vision without blinding oncoming traffic.
P.S. Please note that any heavy objects in the car will be a factor in correct headlight adjustment, have the car loaded as it will be normally used.
My 2002 Hyundai Accent needs a radio code and the
You can get the code - but it will require some work. The dealer should be able to retrieve this info w/o much difficulty - but will charge more for it. You may want to try a different dealer. In any case, below is how to do it for $29 when the dealer won't. You'll need to know the make, model, year of the car and a valid email address in order for the code to be sent back you.
Remove the radio from the dash and copy the serial number (you must remove the radio from the dash to do this).
Locate & copy the Vehicle Identification Number or VIN (on the car itself or registration documents).
Go to
http://www.radio-code.com/HyundiaPayPageRadiocode.htm and fill in the info at the bottom of the page.
Have 2 codes (P1529) and (P0722) what sensors are
P1529 means nothing more than the TCM (transmission control module) has
requested that the ECM (engine control module) turn on the check engine
lamp.
On top of
the ******, by the selector lever, there is the range switch. Disconnect, clean
therminals, add some dielectric gears to the terminals, and reconnect.
Disconnect negative battery terminal for 30+ sec., reconnect terminal, drive car
and see if MIL come on again.
P0722 indicates a problem with the pulse generator B (output speed sensor) signal. Hyundai has identified an issue where the transmission control module (TCM) improperly interprets induced signals in the vehicle speed sensor signal wire as signals from the speed sensor itself, making the TCM think there is a problem with the pulse generator signal. Information on the problem is in TSB 03-40-016. In most cases, reprogramming the TCM solves the issue, but this work must be done by the dealer. I'd expect you'd pay one to two hours of labor for the diagnosis and reprogramming.
