2002 Hyundai Accent Questions & Answers
No spark from spark plugs.
Another person had a similar issue with their 2003 Hyundai 1.6L engine. Their fix after looking at many things was that their ECM relay had gone bad. The relay is located in a box under the hood. The box has fuses and relays ... usually there is a legion or map of what is where on the underside of the box cap/lid. The relay is about the size of a one inch cube.
Changing manuel transmission/differential oil
the last time I changed the oil in a manual tranny that is all I had to do, the level in mine was determined by putting an 1/8 bend in a piece of wire, add oil then check to see if you can touch the oil with the wire, when it does it is full enough.
Have a2002 Hyundai Accent 1.6
there is a vent that allows vapors to escape while we refill our gas tanks. on your car the vent does connect to a vent valve then to a charcoal canister. you would check the vent valve first then the canister for blockage.
2002 Auto Hyundai Accent stuck in second gear will not go up
having the transmission rebuilt in 2010 means that the tranny is 7 years old since service so there can be any amount of faults
run the fault codes to check for problem TCM, VSS, servos and solenoids
check the vacuum actuator for the transmission and vacuum lines
change the transmission oil
the engine light also reports on transmission failures
2002 hyundai accent died and wont start.it turns
If not starting U have either a fuel delivery issue or a no spark situation. Open a fuel delivery joint by the engine and turn on the ignition. If fuel squirts out the pump is fine and the hassle is with the spark. Could be bad igniter causing either no spark or a weak one.
2002 Hyundai Accent Problem: intermittent
What your car is shouting at you is that there is a low power problem. This may be simply a battery cable or a corroded connection but the systems are not able to get the power they need. I would take the vehicle to a AutoZone (or competitor) as they have free diagnostics for the battery, alternator and etc. They can also read the codes in the OBC module.

Can a bad range sensor cause my spedometer not to work and incorrect gear ratios on 2 3 and 4? if now what could it be?
the abs unit tells the ecu and the gearbox the speed and when to change gear if this is not working it could be one of these two the abs unit or the wheel sensor, the wheel sensor there are 4 of them in uk left front wheel is the speedo signal sensor, if abs system is dead i.e saying there is no faults or even connecting to a reader there is a fault. to determine the gear the gearbox needs the signal range sensor incorrect means there is a signal coming to the gear box but its erratic.
My 2002 Hyundai Accent has had a starting issue
yes ---several
one is called an ambient temp sensor that reports to the ECM as to the fuel setting required ( acts like the old pull choke button)
next is a baro sensor that reports the density of the air --again to adjust fuel setting and lastly a mass air flow or mass air volume sensor that again reports to get the fuel setting right
if your local mechanic is not using a scanner tool to have the fault codes read before he picks up spanners , take it to an accredited service center with experience on your make of car and ask for a code reading before work being done
( auto zone does the readings for free)
W221 KFU. Soppose this is small potatoes to you
no they don't ---or rather they do and to do the job easily and quickly , the dash complete is removed --a reverse of assembly
A dash can be removed in less that 1/2 hour and everything under the dash is easy to get at
But if you cannot do it that way , try removing the heater motor and then the heater box from under the dash
How to bleed the clutch on a 2002 hyundai accent
its the same process as bleeding brakes- except you pump the
clutch pedal and loosen the
clutch slave cylinder located by the
front motor mount instead of a brake slave cylinder.
what i do is just loosen the slave cylinder bleeder screw and let it all run dry. then disconnect the reservoir from the master cylinder and clean it out with brake cleaner because all that black junk rests in the bottom of that. theres still more in the line, so reattach the reservoir and fill it up. let it bleed all the way back down the line and proceed to pump and bleed the system. if you know how to bleed brakes it should be a piece of cake.
