2000 Ford V10 will not start. Will start with starting fluid.

Fuel filters don't typically clog from a vehicle sitting.My 1st guess would be the fuel pump(motor sitting stationary has made a contact on the armature corrode).Try thumping the fuel tank with a rubber mallet while someone turns the key on to prime the pump(turn to run,wait 5 seconds,shut off,wait 15 seconds,repeat).This might get the pump moving again.

How to Replace a Blower Fan in an Excursion

Blower MotorSee pics bellow Removal
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the vacuum pump (7.3L diesel engine).
  1. Remove the bolts (7.3L diesel engine).
  1. Disconnect the vacuum hose and remove the vacuum pump and mounting bracket (7.3L diesel engine).
  1. Disconnect the speed control servo connector (5.4L and 6.8L gasoline engines).
  1. Remove the bolts and remove the speed control servo (5.4L and 6.8L gasoline engines).
  1. Disconnect the connector.
  1. Remove the blower motor ventilation tube.
  1. syo%7eus%7een%7efile=ani_caut.gif%7egen%7eref.gif CAUTION: Carefully remove the blower motor so as not to damage the wheel. Remove the screws and remove the blower motor.
  1. syo%7eus%7een%7efile=ani_caut.gif%7egen%7eref.gif CAUTION: If the wheel is to be reused, clean the corrosion from the shaft end prior to removing the wheel. Remove the wheel from the blower motor.
    1. Remove the push clip.

Mostly your MAF MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR needs cleaning.1st Disconnect the battery ground cablethen open the engine air cleaner.
  • Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
  • Release the air cleaner clamp.
  • Separate the inlet side from the outlet side of the air cleaner.
  • Remove the MAF assembly.
  • Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector.
  • Remove the nuts and separate the MAF sensor from the MAF sensor plate.
As shown 5_2_2012_12_14_19_pm.jpgthen follow the steps in the video.HOW TO CLEAN A MASS AIR FLOW SENSORif that did not clear your engine chocking then make sure there is no Vacume leak.hope that helps

Blinker relay location

IT IS FUSE #6 RATED AT 15A located in the fuse box under the dash on the drivers side. see below. The overhead electronics indicator that tells

SIMPLY just pray off the overhead screen (the green plastic)from the lower edg and clean it.I had the same thing before.hope this helps

Plug on back of mirror 2000 excursion

This is for auto dimm view at night. A little small green ligh will lighte if it is on.Also there is a switch in the lower trim edge to put it on.And if it is smooking must be a shortage some where.Any way u can do with out it just make sure that what ever is causing the short is not somewhere else.hope this helps

I donnot recommend doing this by your selfit involves so much tech prosesure but to hav an idia here you go . WARNING: Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can be ignited resulting in possible personal injury. syo%7eus%7een%7efile=ani_caut.gif%7egen%7eref.gif WARNING: Fuel in the fuel system remains under high pressure even when the engine is not running. syo%7eus%7een%7efile=ani_caut.gif%7egen%7eref.gif WARNING: Before working on or disconnecting any of the fuel lines or fuel system components, the fuel system pressure must be relieved.Removal procedures for fuel pressure regulator
  1. Relieve the fuelsystem pressure. additional spiciel tools needed.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information.
  1. Remove the engine air cleaner, the air cleaner outlet tube and the accelerator splash shield.
  1. Remove the throttle body spacer.
  1. Disconnect the EGR vacuum regulator (EVR).
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • Disconnect the vacuum line.
  1. Remove the bolts and the bracket assembly.
  1. Remove the pressure regulator.
    1. Disconnect the vacuum hose.
    1. Remove the snap ring.
    1. Remove the pressure regulator.
    Installation
  2. syo%7eus%7een%7efile=ani_caut.gif%7egen%7eref.gif CAUTION: Check for fuel leakage after installation is complete. NOTE: Lubricate the new O-ring seals with engine oil. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

The relay is good. How can I tell if I am getting power to fuel pump. truck will crank but wont start no gas from fuel pump

check you have a spark and then the fuel line pressure ,on these american truck things their is a voltage controlled switch on top of the fuel tank that will not allow power to the pump if the immobilisor isnt released but i have had these devices fail due to corroded connections or just plain failure and iam in europe where we do not see many of these motors
