On newer cars, there are often two fuse blocks. One is under the dash and runs most of the inside stuff (lights, radio, etc...) and the other is under the hood and has the fuses for everything else (headlights, wipers, AC clutch coil, etc...). You might check to see if there is another bank of fuses you missed.
This is a 2003 VW
It sound like one of two things. First- low freon in your system (A/C system). Second- a wire is shorting out causing (voltage) the signal to stop engaging the clutch on the compressor.
Get the ac pressure test done.If the pressure is low then there is a certain leak in the ac system causing this problem.the ac pressure test can be done at any local car garage.
Also check the ac coolant temperature sensor.if the coolant temperature sensor is not functioning properly then the thermostat will stick and make the ac stop or make the ac air hot.So the coolant temperature sensor as well as the thermostat has to be checked and faulty one has to be replaced.Let the car sit in your driveway idling, ac on. If the ac goes off, spray the radiator with water, and see if comes back on; then it's the thermostat. Another possible thing could be this air filter (cabin filter) is clogged. Usually it is located in the plastic duct work in the car behind the glove box. The filter was put in newer cars to filter out pollen, etc getting into your car. I would check the cabin filter first. Either blow it out with compressed air to clean it, or leave it out. A new filter runs about $40 .
------------------
But the other possibility to check is,that if the ac stops blowing cold air after 5 minutes or so ,you check the compressor,is it running all the time non stop then here is your problem, the compressor should have a clutch that will enguage on and off as needed , with the compressor constantly running it causing your lines to freeze, when it stops blowing cold try turning off your ac and wait like 10 -15 mins and try it agian to see if it starts blowing cold again. Then your compressor clutch is faulty causing the problem.
Thanks.

sounds like earthing wire somewhere is off. check the flat earthwire from next to your coil to intake, theres another one sometimes from below your battery to the starter area (not 100% on this one). check your battery terminals and also clean corrosion off terminals and connectors. sounds like the engine might have loosened the connection when you floored it so its prob an earthing wire somewhere

are you sure you're not leaving any inside lights on inside? if so, check the battery for a dead cell, have the battery load tested. if not that, check the altenator for bad diode. can buy a rebuilt altenator for it. or if you choose, new one for it. just to be sure you cover all bases, check to make sure your altenstor belt is on it. i hope this helps!!
