The high pitched spinning sound you hear is the starter bendex trying to engage the flywheel. The starter may check out ok, but the bendex is turning but coming out. The starter will need replaced.

Did the shop actually connect a scan tool and check the diagnostic code to see if it is at all related to the charging system? A bad alternator or battery could certainly cause the "battery" light to come on, but it's less likely to cause a check engine light. It is possible though, especially if the battery voltage is low and the alternator is not working to keep the charging system at the correct voltage once the engine is running.

Could be a number of things but may want to begin by checking wiring to starter, battery, or even the ignition switch. These components may not turn your engine light on.

The engine is malfuncioning and the internal chesis is destroyed

The fuel system on OBD II cars have a closed system. If any of the vapor lines were left unattached or broken it would cause an engine light. If it was not on before the swap, there is no reason for it to be on now.

Hi the fuel pump is located under the back seats , and under the flap of carpet is a round disc with three screws ! And underneath that you will find a big plastic ring which holds the fuel pump !! They are easy to take out and replace plug and play really ;) Disconnect the battery !! First and be careful please !! Good luck

Two areas to check. The sunroof has several drains that can clog. Open the sunroof and look in the four corners. You will see small holes. Try flushing water down each one with like a cooking baster or spray bottle. If that won't clear a clog use a long wire but with a rounded end. You could cut rubber parts if the end was sharp. The second area is in the door panel area. Each door should have drains in the bottom. If they are clogged it will overflow into the interior. Also if that door has been serviced and the moisture barrier was not reinstalled correctly you will get some water leaking inside.

the key light is telling you that you have an immobilizer issue. That can most easily be diagnosed with a computer. you might have a module problem, or it might be remedied with a simple reprogramming of the key.

Do not drive the car, have them pick it up and fix it.
