yes. Special tools are needed to replace the belt, they can also check for bent valves, Thats why they want it replaced a regular intervals. usually 90K miles.

take the chip out of the old key and fit it into the new key if possible ,if not then tape old key behind the shroud next to transponder and it will work till you can get the new keys programmed in the dealer ,now on some of these older models but dont quote me ,if you put the new key in the ignition and open and close the doorlock with the original key it will programme the new key but this may only be on europeon models

The pick up coil is located at the base of the distributor and plugs into the ignition module. The pick up coil's purpose is to sense or "pick up" the pulses of the distributor and tell the ignition module when to fire the spark plugs. The most critical part of the replacement of the pick up coil is to make certain you properly mark the orientation of the distributor to the engine block and the rotor to the distributor base. When you successfully make these markings, you will not need to check your timing when this job is finished. Keeping this in mind, here we go: You will need to purchase a replacement pickup coil and a rubber o-ring gasket that will replace the o-ring located where the distributor shaft enters the engine before you start this project.

If I understand your problem correctly if sounds as if the engine mount bolts broke which allowed the engine to drop which may have kinked your radiator hose, that caused a flow problem and the engine over heated.
If this is what you are saying it is possible the inner liner of the hose ruptured and folded in causeing a restriction in the hose, this use to be fairly common with hose's in the 50's and 60's but is pretty rare these days.
You need to check the hose for soft spots, if you do not find anything there its time for some tests, the first would be to remove the thermostat and run the engine to see if you have flow in the radiator, if your radiator has a cap at the side tank run the engine with the coolant a little low, if there is flow your will be able to see the coolant coming out of the tubes inside at the top of the core. If there is no flow you need to take a better look at the hose and possible the water pump impeller.

How
Obtain all keys fitted with remote control. Fasten seat belts and close all doors. Turn ignition switch from position I to position II 4 times within 6 seconds. Turn ignition switch to position I ( 11/2000). Switch ignition OFF (12/2000 ). Programming mode activated for 10 seconds proceed as follows: Press and hold lock, unlock or boot release button Fig. 1 [1], [2] or [3]. Wait for acoustic signal (indicates correct programming). Repeat above procedure within 10 seconds to program remaining keys. To exit programming mode: Turn ignition switch to position III or wait 10 seconds. Keys can also be programmed using diagnostic equipment.


NOTE: A maximum of 4 keys can be programmed

Hi Harper,if its one of the front lights there's a plastic back when you open bonnet/hood.Take off plastic back,very easy.Unplug the block attached to back of bulb.There's a steel clip which you release & bulb pops out.Replace new bulb & follow same steps as taking out. Try not to handle glass on new bulb.If its backlight again very straightforward.Just make sure bulb on back is the same,only 2 types,single & double connector.Hope this helps mate.Let us know if you got it done.

Stop and wait for the car to cool down. You can open the bonnet to help the cooling process and to locate where the smoke is coming from.
First thing to check is the coolant level. If you've lost coolant, engine is overheating. Top up before you start driving again.
Second thing would be the head gasket. If this is blown, you will be able to drive small distances but will have to take it to get it replaced soon.

bottom on left--does it look like an engine? if yes, computer has detected a fault. Get a free scan from your local parts chain, write down the trouble code and send to us for advice.

bottom--does it look like car skidding? if yes, traction control activated due to difference in drive wheel speeds detected.

if you mean wont pull off in gear . it's probaly the axle is not in the tranny far enough - you hear or feel a locking sound when it goes in . sometimes you have to push or hit them where they will lock

You need to buy one from Ford. It is a specific size for the sliding caliper assembly.

You are at the beginning of a charging system problem. Items included are Alternator, battery, drive belts, wiring and ground circuits.
If you are a backyard guy, pull the alternator and get it bench tested.

A broken timing belt will result in the pistons hitting the valves this can either bend or break the valves causing damage to the head and possibly to the pistons as well.

Go to the ford badge at the front of the car
Swivel the badge (its spring loaded)
Insert your ignition key and turn to the left (position 1)
The bonnet should pop up
Turn the key to the right (position 2)
You can now lift the bonnet.

Sounds to me like the impeller in the water pump is corroded bad enough that you now have no volume of water flow.If a pressure test on the cooling system shows no leaks and the rad fan does in fact run then this is the most likely solution,if the fan does not run you may need a temperature switch or a fan motor.
