My TC button coming on in my 2007 Pontiac G6 and I replaced throttle body and it's still coming on
tc ?
TC button????/ what does that mean ,a warning lamp named wrong? the users guide tells them all by name.
why not scan the pCM first and save guessing wrong 1000 more times. '
scan it, get it scanned or buy /rent the scan tool
and when confused, post the DTC errors and we read the service manual to you for free.
easy, really, the manual is $20 on line
https://eautorepair.net/Marketing/Default.asp
TC = traction control
well that means ABS fails
and ABS fails if brakes fail
the car needs brake service not new , Throttle body ever.
brakes. the guide told you that clearly.
TC is the last to work not first, ever
it/s like having no rocket fuel and then saying I can/t orbit;
scan it, end the thin wallet disease.
btw tc means torque converter too, so use real names and win
I have a 09 Pontiac g6..I lost the keys and had one cut buy the wont turn in the ignition
There could be a few reasons why the new key is not working in the ignition of your 09 Pontiac G6. One possibility is that the key was not cut correctly and does not match the exact specifications of the original key. Another possibility is that the immobilizer system in the car has been activated, preventing the use of any keys that have not been programmed to the vehicle's computer.
Additionally, the issue could be caused by mechanical problem with the ignition.It might be best to take your car to a professional mechanic or a dealership, they will be able to diagnose the issue and provide a solution. They will also be able to reprogram the immobilizer or cut a new key that will work with your car.
2002 Pontiac Bonneville dash gauges all reading not normal.
if you have a parts store near by (O'rielies autozone etc) they will run a code test for free and you might get information from there. otherwise i would probably disconnect the battery for a few minutes to hopefully let the computer reset itself BUT that's a pretty old car and it might be risky to do the disconnect on it .. so i would take it to the parts store for a free readout AND they can usually reset the codes there at the same time ..

09 Pontiac G6, My car shows the yellow car and lock symbol, but the security system works just fine.
The yellow car and lock symbol that appears on the dashboard of your Pontiac G6 indicates that the vehicle's security system has detected a problem. This symbol may appear if there is a malfunction with the system or if the system has been triggered by an event such as a collision or attempted break-in.
If the security system is functioning properly and the yellow car and lock symbol is still displayed, it is possible that there is a problem with the security system sensor or wiring. It is recommended to take the vehicle to a mechanic or a Pontiac dealership for further diagnosis and repair.
In the meantime, you can try pressing the unlock button on the remote or using the key to unlock the doors and see if the symbol disappears. If the symbol remains displayed, it is possible that the security system will need to be reset by a professional.
2009 Pontiac G5. What kind of Antifreeze do you add to it?
it does not use antifreeze. you will need to buy Dexccol premixed 50/50 coolant. There is no universal coolant, use Dexcool only, it is red. you should never ever add water, only premixed coolant.
the premixed is good to -40 degrees F.
When I turn a/c fan on in 1995 pontiac Grand Prix SE 3.1 it will make a thud sound
the fan where?, front of RAD, rear of RAD or blower fan in cab.
all fans can be hot wire tested. even bench tested or in situ.
using a 12vdc battery (large)
old post but,
the "so I shut off" words are very confusing.
tell how you shut what off? AC off? blower off cab.
that thud can be the compressor clutch De_energizing,
most(all) AC have brain box. some are part of PCM/ECU
and the brain cuts AC off for many reasons, but here are some
yes seen them all me. the first 1 saves compressor from wrecking.
1: hi/low R134a pressure too high or too low ,easy test voltmeter
2: engine overheated detected. (saving engine from damage)
3: WOT, the brain shuts off the comp. clutch wide open throttle.
4: in the same vein, the brain shuts off clutch if engine load is 100%
it does that in the hope that you passing a logging truck at 80mph , you, live to tell the story then next day, amazing no?
5: and more,
the brain protects ,you,and the compressor and the engine from damage, all 3 for sure and more.
next time tell what FAN means and where , there are 3 or more fans in the car and cab fan name is blower.
under hood more, even 3. there. even staged by the brain.
07 Pontiac grand prix 3.8 gt supercharge acceleration sputtering ,no power
knocking noise! ( a cry for help, is ping/detonation boom bad)
never ignore that.!
get the car serviced, is the answer,
yes low fuel pressure on any boosted engines, can crack pistons or far far worse.
the check engine lamp is the warning, ! pre, life or post.
that is its job, called stores DTC< diagnostic trouble codes
and we scan it.
