My fuel gauge in my 2003 navigator reads wrong and will drop to empty then to 1/4 tank and then empty, then eventually it will show full but takes a long time to get there after filling up?

sending unit is bad, sending unit , I would advise replacing sending unit and fuel pump together.--- even though fuel pump is still working , it is old. and could go out ! and you only want to the job 1 time. I guess you know these parts are in the fuel tank? the new strainer will come with new fuel pump. some cars also have a external fuel filter under the car body, you do NOT want a dirty fuel filter with a new fuel pump, it is a big job pulling the fuel tank out of cars. do your research before starting the job. very few cars have a panel where you can get the fuel pump out of the car , without taking the fuel tank out of the car, and yes you do have to take the fuel pump out to replace the sending unit, which sends the signal to your fuel gage. a word of advice let your fuel tank be almost empty, you do not want to lift a lot of gas as it weighs around 8 pounds a gallon, again do your research before you start this job. NOTE , reset your trip indicater to keep track of the miles you drive so you do not run out of gas. until you get parts replaced GOOD LUCK. Tom

My 04 navigator has the PRND fault code so I switched the range sensor and I'm still getting the code. Could it be a bad connection and how do I test it?

Did you clear the code and it came back? Does your shifter lever have excess movement ? if so the shifter tube is cracked and the steering column switches are not completely closed also did you adjust the range sensor for the truck to start? This must be done for it to start

Does a fuel pump assembly from a f150 year 2003 enterchange with a 2001 lincoln navigator?

It may possibly fit between the 2 BUT the distance of travel and position of the float would be different places between the 2 tanks, being of different volume that is. Your best off getting the proper unit for your needs, they're not that expensive from and auto parts counter.

2004 Lincoln navigator air suspension all the way down front and back if I was to jump the relay to turn compressor on should the truck start raising up unless compressor not pumping or a leak

no it wont. the air suspension works as a complete system. each air spring has an electric solenoid, each corner has an electric height sensor and then the compressor itself. just energizing the compressor will not open the solenoids or sensors both of which are needed to raise the vehicle. what is probably happening is a failure in the computing system for the suspension system. expensive to repair.

Can the front suspension problem be due to the compressor

If the rear suspension is not affected its probably a leak or a front height sensor.

Where is the eec relay located on a 2002 Lincoln navigate

What do you think a EEC relay is ? Electronic Engine Control It is the relay that sends power to the PCM (computer). Try swapping the relay with another one in the fuse box and go from there. But on your vehicle it's not called that , it's PCM power relay . It's located in the under hood fuse / relay box . lincoln navagator fuse box-hf21exhxxtnr5rp0vh0zxsgw-3-0.gif right side big square ,second row down. PCM power relay .

Can i flat tow a two wheel drive 2008 Lincoln Naigator behind an RV?

this question can oficially be answered in either the owners' manual or by the dealer but I will state this..depending on how far you plan to go..it is usually better on newr vehicles to put them on either a dolly that supports the drive wheels or a trailer behind the rv..by drive wheels I dont mean the steering end.. I mean the wheels that get power from the engine.. this is due to the spinning of the driveline without the engine powering the transmission fluid inside.. sometimes this will tear up or wear out the final drive clutches and cause malfunctioning of the transmission..just to save your sanity..plan on using a tandem flatbed .. if you dont have one..u-haul rents them..the costs will offset a major transmission repair..learn how to load and tie the truck down for safe transporting..good luck and safe travels..

2004 Lincoln Navigator low beam headlight went out

If you have the HID bulbs check with an Autoparts store like Autozone. I believe the right and left headlights have separate Relays in the Powerbox. It is possible that there are 2 low beam and 2 high beam relays total. They pull too much power for both sides to be wired together and may wire the high beams separate too!

2004 Lincoln Navigator

The blend door is plastic with plastic hinges that eventually break. If you go to a dealer, they have to remove the entire dash to get to it and it will cost you over $1000. There is an aftermarket door with metal hinges that you can replace by going through the glovebox and cutting through the duct. (You seal it later withe epoxy so it's airtight.) You also have to remove the center console, which is also how you can verify the door hinges are broken. Once I had all the tools and everything ready to go it took me about 3 hours. The fix will outlast the car (which has 463,000 miles, BTW).

2000 Lincoln navigator blend door/actuator not enough movement

The door hinge could actually be broken. The door and hinge are all plastic. When you remove the lower console you can actually feel if the door is loose. There is an aftermarket replacement with metal hinges that works great. Normally you have to remove the entire dash to replace or fix it, but the aftermarket one has you go through the glovebox and cut a hole in the duct to reove the old door and replace it with the new one. (You epoxy the cutout back in to seal it - it's out of side and is totally airtight.) I recommend looking into that.

How do I remove the driver side interior door panel on a 2003 Lincoln Navigator/

You don't need to remove the panel. Just spray the latch on the outside with the door open. I would use liquid wrench and open & close the door at least 20 times after it's soaked for a half hour. Don't be afraid to slam it. Also, one time I had to let it soak in overnight before opening/closing it multiple times again.
