One of the wires on my ionic breeze quadra broke.
You're probably screwed...
The company went under and doesn't service them anymore. It's possible you could find a local repair place that might be able to do something, but there is no authorized or trained service station, and you can't get parts.
You might be able to pick up spare parts if you scour eBay long enough.
Good luck!
I have the Ionic Breeze Hybrid GP from Sharper
had the same problem, sparking in the lower section. i cleaned the grid blades on the filter with a scotch brite pad thoroughly in the area that was sparking and cleaned the corona wires inside the back of the unit gently by rubbing with light grade sandpaper. the unit runs like new. give it a try.
I HAVE 2 IONIC BREEZE QUADRA. FIRST HAD PROBLEM
If none of the hi voltage grid wires have broken then check to be sure grid wires are truly cleaned.
If not cleaned in a while like every 2 weeks they will have carbon build on them. And from my experiences with cleaning them is the build looks similar to the color of the wire. Try some qtips dipped in alcohol or cotton balls. The build comes off like flaking metal. Also be very tender with these wires they break fairly easy. When done cleaning turn upside down and back so beads can scrape up and down on wires. Also you do know once clean the parts especially the big collection bars they need to dry for at leased 24 hours before ever powering unit back on. Hope this helps.
I need an ionization wire for my ioninc breeze
Any system using electric currents are deadly OZONE producers if your ozone producing machine is broken pleas don't fix it replace it look for any system with a filter not a electric current burning all the dust
Cleaning light stays on
I
have the same problem and haven't been able to fix it.
However, others have had the same problem and
have posted their solutions.
The
sizzling sound is caused by electrical arching between the plates and one or
both of the two tungsten wires that are run parallel to the plates (if you turn
off all the lights and wait for your eyes to adjust to the dark before turning
on the Ionic Breeze, it's a pretty cool light show!)
Here are things found by others to cause the
arching and what they did to fix the problem:
- --dirt, lint, or tiny hairs
stuck somewhere (usually towards the top or bottom of the plates or wire,
and maybe in the grid contact points).
Clean it better. Using
canned air can help blow out the problem.
- --water droplets. Make certain there is no moisture
anywhere when you put the grid (plates) back in. Using canned air can help dry hard to
reach areas.
- --burn marks or melted
plastic. These indicates a short
circuit. Says dnewcombe1: "There is a
feeler bracket that guides the two rear thin wires while the cartridge is
being inserted. This "feeler" can melt and become disarranged." You can't fix this issue.
- --build up on the ionizing
wires. Clean them. It's hard. I took mine apart and used steel wool.
