MY 8GB SANDISK CRUIZER MICRO

It has an internal failure. Either bad solder or a bad chip. This is not a user repairable device. Your best bet at this point is a data recovery service.

How to connect sandisk wireless flash drive to a tablet without a usb port?

If it's Bluetooth / Wifi, you have to pair them first. Are you 100% sure it's a flash? If it has a usb port, then it could be a bluetooth or Wifi (wireless communications connection) dongle, not a storage flash drive. A bluetooth dongle will usually have the double W symbol similar to a spiky 8. If Bluetooth / Wifi:..... USB has 4 pins - outer 2 are power to the device, while the inner 2 pins carry data traffic only. Therefore a BT device, Wifi and a flash storage drive need to be connected to USB for powering its circuit board and relaying data. Try this if BlueTooth: Switch ON bluetooth on both devices (flash may have a button / switch, or not), most just use "Remove Device" "Safe to Remove" then yank it out to switch off (as no 5V USB BUS power = 0). Plugging in powers it up. It's functions are controlled via PC's BT menu. With BT Flash plugged in, go to your computers device settings or the taskbar may have a BT symbol (like two face-to-face W's). After switching computer BT on, select "search for devices" or similar, depending on your OS. It may find several BT devices in your area. Other BT devices such as Mobile Phone can also find a computer dongle by using the external device's menu to "search" while computer is made "visible" (also vice versa).

What is the life span of a SanDisk Cruzer?

It all depends on how it is treated. In your pocket they can last months or days or years. If its the only place with certain data you need a data recovery specialist to salvage it. In the future, you should use at least 2 devices(one cloud based) to guarantee proper storage.

Retrieve photos from sandisk 2.0 having forgotten password

Short answer is you can't. Its encrypted. If you could bypass the PW, it would not be very useful for protection. you may be able to format and use it as new, but not access the content on it currently at all.

I can't import photos from memory card to computer

Reformatting will not help you and will lose everything on the card. Furthermore, do not attempt any repairs or data recovery until all other options have been exhausted. Have you tried the card in another Mac? Does a simple drag and drop action to your desktop work, or do you get the same or similar message? Make sure the computer is hard-rebooted and attempt to import pictures from another card. If it fails, problem with program. If it succeeds, problem with card, but this does not preclude trying the above-listed options. Paul Ronco

The flash drive will not start up when I plug it

Flash drives are STATIC Drives with no mechanical functioning parts. This kind of apparatus can be shunted or discharged by electrical disturbances. For example, a static charge, somewhat like when you rub your feet on a carpet and touch a door knob "POP, you get a spark". So, if the flash drive receives an electrical discharge or it is pulled from the USB Port without properly ejecting it, it can render the flash drive dormant. The data will be lost and usually can not be retrieved. That is why you should always make a secondary back up of important data on another drive.
