Take it to Verizon it is very uncommon for that problem to occur. Verizon is the only one who could help. You are welcome.

i dont know if this is any help but have you dropped any liquid in the phone or have you changed the casing as this can happen when a cheap (dont mean you) alternative to motorola casings are used as there arwe sometimes edged parts which can be touching the touch pad by mistake if none of the above then has it been dropped as this also causes the cicuit board to malfunction

Hit your Voice command button on the right upper outside of phone, Hit Settings Hit 1 make sure Automatic is Checked, hit ok

if you have the sms feature try to reset your phone .if it doesnt work call your provider and have them refresh your account it will work and let me know if theey fix it

there cud be a loose connection with the earpiece try lightly pressing the area while taking a call OR the connecting strip in ur phone is damaged (from lower to upper half). You will have to most probably change this strip

Click on Main Menu, then Settings, then Personalize, then Home Screen, Hit down arrow to Clock: then hit Change Select Digital then hit Select Again, the Screen will then confirm Clock Changed. Now go Back to your home Screen and you should see the clock display in the upper right corner just under the Battery Icon...

I got my problem solved. I called ALLTEL and they walked me through MIN and MDN changes. Apparently, when I got my phone, it was supposed to be a new phone but it was a refurbished one. Things they dont tell you. Anyway, Im all set and now I can send and receive texts. Call your carrier and explain the issue, they should be able to solve your problem. I have already posted this but thanks for asking. I hope this helps someone else.

The easiest way would be to take the battery out and restart it. If it's still messed up you can download the firmware from motorola's website and reinstall the software on the phone with your USB cable. Hope this helps

you have to get a new phone because i had the same problem and tmobile could not figure out the problem.luckily mine was still under warrenty
