if you have a SIM card in the phone, it is not valid, you will need to contact your local service provider. Best option is to go in person to a store.

The cell phone's number is provided by the cell phone service provider together with the SIM card.
If the existing SIM card is a prepaid SIM card you will need to purchase a new pre-paid SIM card from a cell phone service provider and a cell phone number will be allocated to this SIM card.
OR
Purchase a cell phone plan with a cell phone service provider and you will get a new SIM card with an allocated cell phone number.

Well, it's as simple as you see. If it's not formatting can you try another card? Not all cards from all manufacturers are the same unfortunately. You may have one that's just not compatible with your Z3. Has it worked before? Can you format it with someone else's phone? If you have a card reader you can possibly try with your computer but that may have unpredictable when you put it back in the phone, but ... you may be able to reformat it then where you couldn't before.

To get GPRS/MMS setting, you need to contact your service provider through phone or go directly to their office.

They will send you the settings for your model. You will receive service settings in the special text message called as smart message. Please save the settings to your phone and set it has default settings. Then you can start using the GPRS/MMS in your phone.

It may be the complaint of innser display strip.You have to contact a service center to rectify it

Hi, the problem you are having is with the phones firmware you will need to take this phone into a phone shop and have the phone flashed and the firmware re-installed, the problem with this is you can only have it done at a phone shop as they need to install all the software back on the phone and the other problem is that this will wipe the phone so you will lose anything on it.

you can back it up if you have the leads to your computer and the correct pc suite for your make of phone if you dont have this just ask the phone shop to back it up for you.

their is no other way of doing this as you cant get the firmware and re-install it yourself the phone shop will charge you for doing this but it will be cheaper if you go to one of those independant shops instead of one of thos bigger branded ones.

Hello, motorola phone pc suite or phone tools software no longer works for using net from mobile. It may better to use bluetooth dongle to connect net. Just purchase a bluetooth dongle then install driver n on your phone's bluetooth and connect it with dongle select PAN connection if possible otherwise make dial up connection. This will surely work

Did you replace the battery with one that is specific for the phone? If you take the phone into your service provider, most places have tests that can be performed on both the phone and the battery to ensure they are both functional. A factory default reset may need to be done, which in the current condition of the phone, can only be done in a service shop. Good luck!
