The signal going to your TV is weak and is not getting a proper signal. You will have to check the cable box and any wires and device that are connected to the TV to make sure that everything is connected correctly.
If the TV's screen still remains dark unplug it and then also push the power button for about at least one minute and then plug it back in. See if that resets your TV. If it still is remaining dark use a flashlight and angle it against the screen with the TV at a station or a channel where you can hear the sound See if you can make out shadows and shapes on the screen. It could be that the screen has stopped working and needs to be replaced.
Hi,
please check for the insignia phone number in your tv's manual and reach out to them in order to get the specific code for your remote. There might be multiple codes. You can get it over the phone to start but I would highly recommend that they either text or email you the list of codes because sometimes copying speech over the phone can cause errors for the person transcribing (ie you)
Thank you.
Hi,
Before changing the board, please disconnect all accessories and power cycle your tv (ie unplug for 1 minute and power up again).
Please check across multiple channels to see if you're experiencing the same thing. If so, please perform a factory reset next.
Thank you.
Make sure that the audio cables are properly connected for the source (component, composite video or VGA/DVI (computer or other device)). Disconnect any cable in the headphone port.
Was the TV ever used with an audio receiver? If so, the TV speakers may have been turned off. Go to the Home Menu. Go to Settings > Display and Audio > Audio Output > TV Speakers and set this to On. (For Quick settings, press and hold Home. Then go to Sound > TV Speakers and set to On.) If you have a universal remote, the remote could be set to give all audio commands to a receiver. Try the remote so the Audio commands go to the TV. (This will depend on the remote. Please add a comment with the remote brand, model and type (often inside the battery compartment) for the full programming information.)
If you are using external speakers with a receiver, you may need to change the audio settings to PCM for a digital audio output. (This is in the same Audio Output section of the standard menu.)
I hope this helps.

(I've locked several remotes to the audio system which causes this type of problem when the home theater system needs a wiring repair.)
Sounds like back light problem. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the brand name of your set, in its search bar at the right side column, and press enter. See it in Webview by mobile. It will be best to visit these sites by desktop computer. Mobile view have no right sidebar search box.
What you want to do would be like adding an extra spark plug to a car motor, can't be done. Replace all LED strips in the TV with the same strips if you want to repair it not just the bad strip, or in your case button lamp, all LED buttons change color with use, they go from cold white to blue and sometimes even purple, if you replace one lamp or strip you will see the different color
You don't, you have it the wrong way around. You program the remote TO the television, not the television to the remote. Here are all the Insignia remote Codes.

Are you using an HDMI cable? Go to input and select TV. Then you should be able to access the Plug & Play option and be able to turn off the Demo Mode.
No doubt your backlights are bad and new ones will fix it, one thing however, use extreme care when removing and replacing the panel as it's very fragile. Here is a listing from shopjimmy.com to get the strips
