Clean fuel supply, change filter. Clean carbs... Rebuild fuel pump possibly. If this is all good and you haven't done any clutch work it may be time to repair primary and secondary.

It uses an engine stutter system and actually runs backwards when it's engaged. It won't go in if rpm's are too high. How high does it idle?

What is the resistance on your stator leads, when running what is your output from the start (before the regulator) it will be ac volts there will be 3 leads.

Could be a bad cdi box. Ive this problem with my xlt when I go for a ride, stop to eat and head back out to go home it won't start. I've usually had to choke it, and pull until it starts. My issue is carb settings. If you don't have spark I'd try replacing your cdi. If you know someone with the same sled try there's.

Problem has to be in the coil now. Even new parts can fail try switching plug wires first. You might get lucky and the wires were just crossed from the one you replaced.

I've owned many polaris snowmobiles and to me it sounds exactly as the current owner states. It probably needs the carbs thoroughly cleaned, taken out and apart. I would also get new plugs as well. I prefer ngk plugs for my sleds. If you've never done it there ate plenty of you tube videos on how to clean and adjust the carbs.

Try spraying a little starter fluid into the air intake. If it tries to start, the carburetor needs adjustment or cleaning and rebuilding or replacing. DO NOT USE A LOT OF STARTER FLUID!

The K2 website has a binding technical manual, link was found at the bottom of the K2 home page (see link below). If the pin doesn't come out easy, tap from the other side of the pin. The pin has a head on one side.You may need to use pliers to remove the broken piece of strap from the top lever.Take the broken strap pieces to your K2 retailer ( snowboard shop) and ask them to order a new strap. K2 info suggests you can’t order parts online direct from K2, so you have to order through a K2 retailer.Use your other binding with the good strap to copy the routing of the new strap. You might want to order two new grab loop straps and change them both while you are at it. ??

No 1 is lean. Check fuel flow and needle and seat and any jet blockages. Blow all jets with high pressure air.

sounds like the jump starter is supplying regulated power to the spark generator/distributor, without this smoothed power the alternator is feeding unregulated to it.... placing a good battery across the terminals after jump starting should prevent this mis-firing fault.

Bowl float is sticking open.
Turn the fuel on tap the carbbie bowl. With something ie end of a screw driver etc... your trying to get the float to unstick. Before you put it back together. ..ie putting the bottom on make sure the float goes up and down freely

failed electronic part in ignition or sensor internal component overheating and breaking the circuit until it cools down

You have to remove the 2 bolts holding the seat down under the tunnel first. Then slide the seat to the rear to remove it. Then you can remove the springs holding the hold-down plate on the rear of the tank. Just slide the tank back then.
