1994 probe GT wont start, engine ran earlier in the day.

Have you ever ran your car out of gas before? if so you may have killed the fuel pump. Did you bump something? make sure the fuel shutoff is pushed in, it's ether in the trunk on the right hand side above the wheelwell behide a metal plate it's red. drivers side kick pannle to the left of the petales.

My 1996 ford probe gt turns over great but if not startrd for a day it will turn over but not start. anyone know what could cause this

possible fuel problem. start with the easiest,repl.filter. i think autozone or pep boys can check yuor pressure. a quick test is to see if it will fire with a shot of starter fluid

96 nissan 200sx started and ran rough for 10 sec then died and wont restart. distributor is turning. no fault codes. has good fuel pressure. spark looked weak so i changed cap and rotor. still wont start....

something to ponder over here as iam not sure what could be the problem here but if its a weak spark then it could be module /coil/crank sensor in that order .These problems will not show up as fault codes i dont think as they are working but not to full efficiency

Engine cut out as i ddrove an wont start, its got

Probes/Mazdas have issues with their distributor you might pull a wire and check for spark. There was one time i even had spark and still had to change the distributor, you might be able to find a local used solution instead of new just make sure they have some kind of warranty.

My car just wont start

when you changed the water pump you need to make sure you change the timing belt also, did you do this. check that your timming is correct.

the other problem is different,

I would check to see if you are getting fuel at the correct psi, then how do you know you are getting spark, did you pull the plug and see the fire when you got it near a ground. also are the plug still good. you could have damaged your plugs. Is the distributor cap with rotor, and wires new? are you getting air. have you checked the timing? This is where I would start.

Won't start, fuel pump runs at key on, spark at coil wire into distributor is yellow, little or no spark at plug wire ends

Sounds like bad distributor cap or rotor. If ones bad, might as well change both. Take off the cap and if there is a black color on the ends of the prongs, or on the end of the rotor, time to replace. Is it getting fuel into motor?

Ford probe won't start

distributor is placed wrong for timing
take cap off unbolt distributor lift enough to turn rotor place back dont bolt litely just enough to hold distributor down without it poping up on you
place cap back on
now you need manual start and kill switch up in engine compartment turn vehicle over with manual starter switch if runs rough turn distributor till sounds good now time it with radar gun tighten bolts the rest of the way

now for what i described this has a margin of error going 1 to 3 notches to time in either direction from front to back or back to front turning of the distributor rotar
i hope i had made some sense heree695f1c.jpg
or counter clockwise the lifting distributor and turning rotor one tooth to engine crank this is timeing
