On the final spin cycle, the washer shakes alot like it's off balance, however, the clothes are evenly placed in washer. Why is the washer shaking alot?
I also have a problem with the last 4 minutes of the spin cycle. Model #GHW9200. It shakes and makes unbelievably loud noise. When I stop the machine i can smell something burning. Repairman out found nothing wrong and charged me anyway! Called repairman back with a load of clothes at the 4 minute point to demonstrate problem. He said shock absorbers broken, replaced them and pronounced the machine all" fixed". But....still shakes, loud thumping noises and the same burning smell...I can't afford to keep paying to fix things not broken. CLOTHES UNBALANCED? OR COUNTER BALANCE SUPPORTS BROKEN, AND NEED REPLACMENT? WASHERS have many different weight balancers but sounds like u need to take body off and have look at the counter weights set up while running machine, just jumper the door switch to keep a closed line. and then agin sometimes its as simple as making sure ur washer is leveled on ur floor, check ur leg adjusters as they do get funny at times..
Your load is out of balance.
If you have a heavy item, spread it around the tub to balance the load.
It is normal for the tub to shake during the spin cycle. The washer has a safety feature, if it is too badly out of balance it will shut itself down and sound an alarm.
does ur washer shake & move also? if so, it may be that the loads r too small. especially with top loaders, when the machines not full, the clothes r not evenly distributed and that could do it. if u stop the cycle and evenly distribute the clothes, it should stop. hope that helps.
check to make sure it is sitting level on the floor and one leg adjuster hasnt backed in making it shake. But even when you stick cloths in evenly they can bunch up during cycles.
Hello. Noises are common when using a two-in-one washer and dryer, as clicking or whirring is part of the cleaning process during the transition to the next cleaning process. The GE Spacesaver washer and dryer combo uses a top-loading washer stacked beneath the front-loading dryer, and uses an agitator that makes noises throughout the spin cycle. Although whirring or clicking is normal, other noises or malfunction indicates a problem with the washer that requires minor troubleshooting. Professional repair is necessary if the washer continues to experience problems during the spin cycle, as there may be a problem with the washer's agitator. 1 Open the washer's door and check the balance of the load's clothes. Clothes that are unevenly distributed around the agitator cause excessive shaking and result in an imbalance during the spin cycle. Reduce the load's size by removing clothing if the washer's drum is overloaded. 2 Push "Start/Pause" to pause the spin cycle and turn the washer's cycle knob to the "Off" position. Turn the knob to "Spin Only" and press "Start/Pause" to reset the cycle. 3 Turn the wrench counterclockwise or clockwise around the unit's legs to adjust the appliance's balance. The legs are adjustable with the help of a wrench to ensure the unit does not shake while in use. An unleveled unit shakes as it spins, and causes excessive squealing or rattling as it attempts to dry the clothes. 4 Touch "Start/Pause" on the front of the washer's control panel and unplug the washer/dryer unit's power cord from the electric oultlet. Wait two minutes and plug the power cord back into the electric outlet. Push "Start/Pause" to resume the spin cycle. Thanks.
After the rinse cycle, the washer rapidly spins the tub to get as much water out of the clothes as it can. It works basically the same way as a salad spinner. If the weight of the clothes in the washer is not balanced, the washer will shake and maybe even jump around during the spin cycle. This is pretty normal. If all of your jeans end up on one side, and your t-shirts on the other, the jeans will hold more water, their side of the tub will be heavier, and the washer will shake a lot during the spin cycle.
If the washer is shaking too much, open it after the rinse cycle (wait for the tub to stop before reaching in) and spread the clothes out evenly in the tub. Try to balance the weight. Then close the lid/door and let it continue spinning.
Most has a balance ring built onto to the tub, make sure thr balance ring is not damaged, It is normal for the tub to shake in the spin cycle with nothing in washer
A Clothes Washer with the complaint of "excessive noise & sssshaking" can typically be a couple of things;
Un-level Washer (Very Likely) - I would level and adjust your legs on your washer appropriately. Make sure when your slighly "push test" your washer, you have no machine movement, rocking or tilting. When the machine is going into the final rinse/spin cycle, the tub can rotate fast and if the washer legs or even the floor is slightly un-level, this can result in your washer to become noisey, shake, etc and can further cause the unit to break-down and no longer spin.
Un-balanced Load(Likely) - Ensure you are loading the washer and distributing the clothes (weight) evenly as this may cause the tub to spin improperly at final spin cycle.
Broken Drum Support/Springs(Likely) - Can be 5" black supports located at inside - top of tub area. Also, springs can also be located at inside bottom rear of machine holding the tub to the rear panel.
