I have a cub cadet 1225 whose engine (B&S) was just rebuilt. I need a 1225 specific wiring diagram (or directions) to figure out how the alternator ( black wire with green female connector) voltage regulator (red wire with female connector and yellow wire with male connector) and magneto wire (black with male connector) connect. There are a red (male) and yellow (female) wire running from the mower pedestal. Help pls.....I already blew one magneto stator

Brake switch
PTO switch
Seat switch
RCM / reverse switch

Could be any of the above.

Troubleshoot by checking continuity from the M (magneto) pole of the ignition switch to ground. It should be open (no continuity from M pole to ground.

Methodically disconnect switches until M pole to ground shows open. Then test suspected switch.

A DMM or an inexpensive auto circuit lamp tester will do.

You have a safety switch issue.

You need to get both engines wiring diagram. See whats diffence

The wiring is in the operator's manual.

I just rewired my 782. same wiring as the 682.
All the electrical to the Engine coil runs through the PTO switch. Not sure what your issue is but that's a big failure point

don't have a diagram but i would check the safety switches jump them while looking for the bad one with a paper clip

I have a cub cadet 1864 and the governor is out of control, the engine will race a high speeds. When i pull back the governor arm and hold it it run normal. Can some one help
