We have a lsr7233 bwi or dwi top loader washer and the basket is getting big holes in it betty

These come as several parts. Not sure if all are available anymore as Candy parts. But you can get replacement Hoover parts to fit.

If it is a top loader, you have to remove the agitator, then get a spanner nut wrench and remove the spanner nut . Pull the inner basket up and out and check the condition of the aluminum drive block for broken off notches in the center where the basket drive tube ears lock in. This is a common problem among top loaders made by Whirlpool for Sears.

The F50 error code indicates that the RPS (rotor position sensor) detects no motor rotation. Check to see if the basket spins freely. If not, you could have an item caught between the outer tub and the inner spin basket. A toy or other item underneath the washer could also prevent the basket from spinning and would result in this F50 code.

If the basket spins freely, you could have a wiring failure that would prevent the motor from spinning.

after three years and multiple repairs i drilled holes in top and bottom float rings eg
balance rings and drained out the water, than resealed the holes and washer is working like new still junk but atleast it will spin out without unbalance code

Overfilling loads can cause small objects like pins, coins, and small socks to get between the tub abd Basket of your washer.

The basket is held onto the rear half of the outer tub simply by the bolt to the main pulley.
Remove the bolt, remove the pulley, and the basket shaft should slip right out of the bearings of
the rear tub.

Simply shining a light around between the basket and outer tub should confirm that there is something in there, since you have access to do this with
the front tub removed. Go ahead, remove the pulley and bolt, and if
the basket comes out, then check everything out.

If it doesn't, don't try pounding it out; stop there and go to plan B, which is a new basket
and tub assembly.

The metal basket (inner basket) has a broken spider (these are the support brackets that hold the basket to the bearing shaft). The inner basket will need to be replaced and the front and rear shell of the drum may also need to be replaced depending if any other damage has been done. It's a big job, about 2 hours for a good tech.

There are screws on back top and back bottom that have to be unscrewed for the panel to pull off

try different temp settings be sure screens in inlet valve end of hoses are clean and taps on all the way if you gave water to washer and still none coming in suspect bad fill valve

John, it's possible that it could be the basket drive. It sounds more like the clutch assy. Take the agitator off and look at the drive block. The two ears from the basket drive should be tight into the drive block, I will attach a picture of how it should look. If that looks ok, then I would suspect the clutch. They are not hard jobs, either one of them.
