In this set 3 blinks means lamp cover not set properly but i think that your problem is your 6x red blinks that means you have a problem in the audio section in your set(missing a voltage) or a themal fuse open.

My Sony wega tv won't turn on goes into standby red light blinks 10 times then shuts off?

Look at the owner manual as the 10 blinks is a error code or Google the model number to locate that information--Sony error codes are general and often misleading.

I would if looking at the set inspect the lamp first.

Does not turn on.

The Six blinks mean that the thermal fuse needs to be changed.
