Hello - Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned, or you have another issue with the door lock assembly or the timer and control board not communicating correctly. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.
Yes, the original issue was the control from the beginning. the control is damaged and it cannot register the latch at this point. this is necessary and , it will fix the issue.
sounds like the impeller on the drain pump is blocked. Noise could be coins trapped in drum. Check filter thoroughly, if you cannot remove blockage you may have to remove tubes from pump to clear out any blockage.
