Disconnect the electicity. Shutoff your water shutoff valves. Disconnect the two hoses leading to the valve noting which hose is hot and which is cold. Unscrew the access plate. Unscrew the screw holding the valve in place. Lift it slightly so you can push it out. Make note of the electric connections to the two solenoids. Disconnect them. Disconnect the hose ring with hose ring pliers if you are lucky enough to have them or use pliers and good luck. It your push it down below the hose it is easier to get the hose off. Wiggle the hose carefully so you don't break it. I found it useful to put the valve back in the resting place of the metal frame to be able to get a better grasp on it. Take the new part and instead of reinstalling the hose with the old hose ring get an automotive hose ring that you can screw on with a socket wrench. Reconnect all the electric connections. Put the valve back in the metal frame and screw it in and the metal plate. Reconnect the hoses securely and slowly turn the water back on making sure it doesn't leak. Plug back in and you should be in business.

Replace the valve, and as long as you have let the unit sit for 24-36 hours since the water leaked, all should be OK. Make sure you look the unit all over for accumulated water and wipe up with a towel. If water sprayed on the timer, then use a hair dryer on it for 30-45 minutes until it no longer drips any water. Then again, allow 24-36 hours for it to dry out completely before reapplying power.

Sounds like a sticking water level switch.
Locate thin plastic or rubber hose going from the bottom of the washer to the water leel switch at the top, remove and clean hose and the chamber at the bottom where the hose fits.
Hi
When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to
check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch
assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As
the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water,
thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong
position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling.
Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float
switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If the
hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the
water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve
is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check
continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then
you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is
fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps...
Please post back if you need more information.
