My kenmore stackable washer dryer won't drain. i started a load the water fills up, the cycle spins but it doesn't drain, it just stops. the lid is down, i try to turn the knob to rinse or spin but nothing happens, but when i start the cycle back over the water fills up a lil more the cycle spins then it stops again. i tried to see if the hose was clogged and it wasn't, i'd really appreciate this to be something you can help me with. thank you!

Check for an obstructed washer pump or drain hose.

SOURCE: Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

SOURCE: Kenmore washer fills with water but no cycles work.

You should always check your lid switch first to make sure that's not the cause, and usually that is the cause for this problem. I had exactly the same problem as described above and did my research online. I found that the best way is to check the lid switch first and sure it was bad. The switch case was actually cracked open and that's the reason for the malfunction of the switch. All i did was using an electrical tape and wrap up the switch case and it works fine again. I was lucky that the switch was fixed just by some tape, others may have to replace the switch completely.

Kenmore stackable washer/drier. Water doesn't drain out.

Kenmore stackable washer dryer doesn't cycle (doesn't advance to water fill or wash, drain, rinse, spin) (not spinning, draining, filling?) After the video, we learned it was the points in the timer. It wasn't the black "electrical plug", being plugged into. Get your serial number and google Kenmore timer and you can order a replacement timer. Even if you still have someone come out, you've still saved a bunch!.......ps....I had a viewer make a good point!; I obviously didn't have any issues, but obviously be careful with electrical panel and any loose wires!

Hot water stops filling too soon.

Fill setting has to be adjusted and the belt is slipping on the spin cycle and not generating enough centrifugal force to get the water out.

Kenmore stackable mod number 417.94802301

check your lid switch. if your lid swith is bad, it will fill and agitate, but will not pump or spin. therefore it will not go into rinse cycle without being able to pump out water. some lid swithes control the agitation also (usually frigidaire and older maytags), but i doubt yours does. you can check the lid switch for continuity while opening and closing the lid with a meter

Washer won't drain or spin

sounds as if you have a lid lick/door switch issue, the machine is not recognizing the door being closed and for safety reasons will not enter spin/drain.. open anc\d close lid a few times slowly, cam you hear a "clicking noise" whe njust about closed?? id assume not replace teh lidswitch

Stackable kenmore model 41794702300

We have had that happen too. You will need to take out what ever has blocked the valve on the drain. Ours was a bobby pin! My model is a bit different but if you follow the drain hose underneath you can find it. Remember you are dealing with lots of water. I think I scooped out the water first and have some towels ready. Or hire somebody to do it for you. I hope that helps.
