Good day, I just bought a transducer (R209) for my 1920 C furuno display but seem to have a probleem with the setup on the display. I have no radar connected to the system and to do the installation I need to start at the radar screen and afterwards to system setup - network sounder setup. Can someone help to reach the correct page/display without having a radar. I look forward to you reply. regards charles

If you just have the transducer and no network sounder youre pretty much dead in the water. along with your transducer, you will need either a BBFF1 or DFF1 sounder. Since they operate on a network they will have to be configured depending on your setup.

Which version furuno echo sounder will work with the LS8000 in-hull transducer. I need to upgrade but the transducer is built into the hull, would be easier just to keep it

I think for this one your best bet would to be to call Furuno tech. directly. They'll be more than happy to upgrade your instrument.

There are two numbers:
Camas, WA 360-834-9300
Denton, MD 410-479-4420

Hope this is helpful.

I have a furuno FCV295 and when I was doing the initial installation set up of the transducer (airmar r299) I accidently chose the wrong settings. How do I re-do the transducer settings? The factory reset...

If you reset it and while in the Initial Settings" Menu, you press menu, it should take you to the transducer setup screen. These menus allow for "Transducer Type" to be changed to your exact transducer. See the "Installation Manual", which is different than the "Operators Manual". Section 3 page 9 and 10. You may have to enter your units of measure (Knots vs MPH, etc), and then it will allow you to choose the transducer type. Hope this helps. John Barry, 847-746-0100, technicalmarine.com.

Does this transducer mount in the floor of the boat,or on the bottom of the hull?

Hi!

This transducer requires a hole to be drilled in the bottom of the hull and the unit installed from the outside, using a caulk/adhesive such as 3M 4200 or 5200. Nice choice. Furuno is a good manufacturer!

Hope this helps!

Data cards for Fununo 1850w

Furuno just stopped producing these models about a year ago. They use a special chart card. You can still purchase the cards from Navionics or C-map if you need to. I will tell you from experience that you should get your internal battery changed out if you havent done so already to keep from losing your settings and waypoints. The dealer will have to save them for you though and put them back on. Furuno made a GP7000 to replace this one and it's uses SDcards and is nothing like the rest of Furuno's product line. The best replacement for this unit is the Garmin GPSMAP 700 series. You can use your old furuno transducer if you have one (with an adapter plug). This garmin unit also has a built in GPS or you can use an external one. The 700 series will be shipped in April. Check out Garmin's website or mid-shore electronics.

This unit has built in sonar, so no DFF1 is required. The 1KW transom mount is in stock here, with the proper Furuno 10 pin connector. That is all you need, the display, the power cord, the GPS antenna, the transducer and THE BOOK! We are a Furuno dealer in the Great Lakes
