When I try to download pictures from my Canon A520 camera to my computer, I get a message saying the computer can't detect my camera. The software is loaded. The camera is in play mode. In the past I was always able to do this.

Most likely the software has corrupted. To eliminate this possibility, uninstall the software, reboot your computer and then reinstall it.

If this fails then please add a comment and we'll go through further options.

One other option is to simply use an external memory card reader and bypass the Canon software altogether. You'll also find that uploads are far quicker using this method.

Memory card Canon a520 full and can see images in camera but when I try to download to win 10 computer - the screen pops up to transfer images but says card has no info -

Are you using the canon software to download the images and downloading the images through the camera not a disk reader. Sometimes the computer will recognise your camera as a HDD when using the canon software by connecting your camera to the computer with a USB lead. Worth a try.

Try uninstalling your digital camera software, restart your computer, then reinstall the software. This should reboot your camera and it's components.

Canon PowerShot A520 dowload problems

ya. picassa wont do any help to you brother. you may have connected the camera and switched it ON right?
after switching it ON change it to play back mode( mode in whih you see your photos) that time only camera detects the computer.

even if this is not working try a different cable to connect it.

else use your friends system to check if camera is really faulty.

even if its not working take it to service center. dont forget to take your warranty card and purchase bill there.
