Aquarius Hotpoint WD440. 1400 Spin

When ever it get to the Rinse and Spin Stage,it stop and it does not do anything.

    getting error code f-01. Machine fills with water then pumps back out again. Does anyone know what this code means?

Hotpoint Wd440. I had the same problem, lights flashing and water not draining, First drain your water (syphoning works but tastes ****), if the machine drains then you know its not blocked. Then put the machine on M for about 5 mins, then put it on fast spin. This should do the trick, it worked for me anyway. Good luck.

The next step should be the pump out. If it is not pumping check your pump filter for obstructions. Check the drain hose and also your drain in the wall. If all are clear you may have a bad pump. You should have an error code coming up when the machine stops also, please let me know what it is. Thanks and I hope I can FixYa.

you need to check/clear filter, its located within sump hose @ bottom of drum quite trickey clip to remove slide it to the side to assist then withdraw nylon filter and clear.

Hotpoint wf540 stopping on a rinse and spin and
check pump/filter/outlet hose for blockages. if ok, check pressure switch (disc shaped item at top of machine with 4? wires and a tube) by blowing into it gently - should hear clicks, then blow into tube to pressure chamber - should be clear.

Started having a noisy rinse & spin cycle, then stopped.
Open the washer door and spin the drum by hand, if it feels rough or noisy and rumbling, then the main drum bearings have failed. There should be little or no noise when you spin drum
This is a major repair, and I would not recommend a D.I.Y solution.
Other possibility is there is something in the pump, but you would only hear this when the pump is working.

Wash machine stays on wash cycle and doesnt go to rinse or spin
If the water is not getting hot, this will probably stop the programme advancing .Check heater.

The lights are set off by the balance sensors.And if your balance sensors are  stopping    it from spinning than you first have to make sure the washer is level.You  could have bad Shocks and a bad electronic control board,.

Washer will not spin
normally i would suggest changing motor carbons for hotpoint washers, but my experience is that the WMA motor armature is weaker than the carbons, normally if there is no connection fault a replacement motor is the answer 9 times out of 10, not a job for the amature
