We have this model westinghouse fridge which currently opens to the right but are moving house and the fridge needs to open to the left. I can see holes on the left side with white plugs in them so it looks the door could hinge on the left but there are no holes on the top surface. Als the door handles are fixed so would we need to flip the doors (its upper fridge/lower freezer model) completely upside down? If so, instead of the handles being were the fridge and freezer door meet - they would actually be at the top and at the bottom which would be too high and too low.Can we buy a conversion kit for this model?

Yes depending on age. once changed doors never seal properly. because cabinet warps and seals flatten on one side. suggest to sell and buy another. you will never be happy if converted.

Westinghouse fridge now displays in Fahrenheit. The handbook gives no solution. Any ideas?

Yes, press and hold '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds (on the refrigerator side), a tone will be heard and it toggles back and forth between C & F! Be patient for the 5 seconds and it will happen!

I HAVE MOVED THE FRIDGE FROM ONE HOUSE TO ANOTHER. I LEFT TO SETTLE FOR 2 HOUrs, PLUgged IT BACK IN AND TURNED BACK ON, THE Display IS BLANK. LEFT it ON FOR 24 HOURS, STILL NO DISPLAY.

Question edited for all the typos and add Maker.
Please don't type in all CAPS, it is considered SHOUTING and harder to read.

Fridges don't like being moved. If it stays upright the whole time, leaving 2 hours is fine. If laid down, they need 24 hours for the refrigerant and oil to settle.

It sounds like there is a bad connection on the display, so take it apart and check or call for service.

We have a Samsung side by side fridge model number SRS 596NP. It is a double door (side by side) fridge/freezer. After moving house the top right hand door does not seal properly and is slightly lower than...

  1. Anytime you move a fridge there is a chance that the doors will slide of balance so to speak, the simple fix is usually to readjust them by tightening/loosening the screws on the mount at the top of the door(usually under a cap that is the same color as your fridge). You want the door open when you adjust the level of the door and depending on your model the bottom may need to be adjusted as well. It should be pretty simple just open the door and hold it up a bit to about where you want it to sit and tighten your screws on the hinge, hopefully that helps.

Freezer fan is noisey and can t find serial number

The number you will need is the model number. On side by side models there are a few places to look. 1- inside fridge on right or left wall. 2- Open fridge door and look up near the top front lip. 3- Open both doors and look on body of fridge under the doors. 4- Fridge door sometimes there is a sticker right when you open. Mostly you are looking for a silver sticker or silver plate. It gives you a model number and serial number. If you need further assistance please mail me back.

I have a westinghouse freestyle fridge and it is leaking water seem to be coming from behind the tempreature adjusting knob. Do you have any suggestions. Thanks Michael model RJ452T-R

Open the fridge door, locate the dial which moderates the temperature located on the 'ceiling' of the fridge. Remove the light cover, remove the globe. Unscrew the two screws which hold the dial housing to the ceiling of the fridge, let this housing hang from the ceiling in the wires. This will expose a red funnel shaped tray, gently lift the tray and pull it out, you will most likely find the tray drain is blocked with gunk, clean and reinstall. Assembly is reverse of removal.
