Probably the washer has not been secured properly to the stand or where it has been placed. Also check the support which support the rotating drum. Probably one of the slings/rods which support the drum is loose.Tighten it

Washer shakes

That's going to happen no matter what you do especially when the washer goes the spin cycle to spin off the water. If it is shaking too violently I recommend making sure the washer is level as some washers need to be on a level surface. If it is not level use boards or get shims from your local hardware store or home depot to level it off.

Washer shakes when spining. More on heavier loads.

shaking is generally due to inadequate floor structure under machine; i.e. plywood floor. in addition, if the washer is on a "pedistal" it will make matters worse; as the center of gravity is away from the floor. in rare cases, one of the drum "struts" can fall apart; and, cause excessive shaking. if you broke the locknut on one of the legs, unscrew the leg, and bring it to the hardware store for a replacement nut.

Washer was making a very loud shaking sound in the spin cycle, the noise stopped the spinning stopped and I smelled burning.washer will not spin

I had a shakey washer that I bought open box from "circuit city", it was a return.

I was to lazy to learn why the washer would shake and a technician told me to manually balance the wash load in the drum.

Later, I got into the washer and lubed up the rotating shafts and rockers. The washer lost all its shakes with the mechanics properly lubed. From the factory the mechanics were never properly lubed.

Tight mechanics that are supposed balance the spin cycle by moving could be part of what is getting warm. The belt spinning the washer also takes a beating when the drum shakes.

Get a good discount on your washer first, and then lube the mechanics. Everything about the washer is meant to work. If the mechanics are too tight you'll have shaking.

Washer shakes terribly in spin cycle

Does the floor or the walls shake? If they do you have to beef up the flooring under your washer, with blocks between the floor joists, piers, or sistering of the joists. If there is no shaking of the floor or walls, and your washer is solid on the ground, leveled and not rocking, then it is your washer. Lg has problems with too much vibration in their washers. Check to make sure that your lint filter/coin catcher is clean. Open the door in the bottom front, put a towel down to catch the water, Unplug the washer, and unscrew the large plastic screw that is the filter for your washer. If this has debris in it clean it out completely. Look in the hoses also, if your water drain is restricted by lint or coins or other debris, the washer has clothes in it that are wetter and heavier than they should be, and this will cause sever vibration. My Kenmore Elite Front Loading Washer is shaking very bad when it's on the spin cycle. When i level it, it's ok for a while but slowly goes back to skaking again. Any Ideas?

there are struts on the bottom of the drum and springs on top. may try replacing these but I think if you level it well and make sure the feet are tightened down well it should stay quiet. it the feet are not tightened well they will vibrate and come out of adjustment

Samsung P801 Front Loader shakes violently during spin cycle.

When the washer goes into spin cycle it is suppost to start at a slow speed and continue to increase speed (to a maximum of 800 RPM) as the water leaves the clothes. Your washer is going directly to 800 RPM which causes the washer to shake and stop giving you the E4 code. The control board that controls this speed increase must be replaced.

Kenmore washer shakes violently during spin cycle

syrny,

Not sure what you did, exactly. First, does the machine shake when spun empty...and then with water only? If so, you have probably failed to tighten something or misaligned something. Go over your work.

No shakes? Rearrange your load. You may have a pair of heavy wet jeans which is throwing the whole thing out of kilter. It only takes about a half pound of sodden clothing to do this.
