I keep trying to attach the lens and it keeps saying "lens not attached" on the screen. What should I do?

Regarding a 3rd party lens it always have some problem. Manually pictures can be taken , if completely not supported. Check the video and find similarities. Like keep F- 22 IN LENS , ( or the highest FNumber ) .. turn on manual controls.. then shoot.. check if this helps and inform

Try another lens,or set the camera to shoot without lens.This could help you narrow down if it's the lens or the camera.

there is likely a button pn the bellows that latches the lens just like the button on the camera body. it won't look the same but it does the same thing. look carefully. good luck.

1) replace the old battery 2) clean the contacts battery 3) adjust the REED switch, see the diagram attached, clean it, test for open or faulty, tight the connector very well. 4) LUBe the deck belt very well see the video attached. oGod bless you

Try removing the lens and re-attaching it.

Have you changed lens? F-- blinking usually means that a non-CPU
lens is attached to camera. Try changeing camera mode to Manual and see what happens. Take Camera to Photo store and try another lens(CPU may have gone out).

We had the same problem. After inspecting the contacts I saw that the one metal ball (contact) that was separate from the other contact grouped on the mounting collar was stuck down. By pressing the contact a couple of times with a blunt object it freed up the contact so that when re-attached the lens it worked as expected.
