Sounds sound like an echo chamber

Hi dichubby, to fix the "Echo."

Do the following:

From the "Desktop Screen," [Right / Alt] click on the Volume Icon.
Once the 'window' open!
Select the "Playback Device" shortcut.
Next, highlight the Speaker icon,

or {2x click} to open the [Properties] 'window'.
Select the Enhancements" {Tab} ...

"You can place a [Check] in the "Disable all sound effects."

Or click on the Settings: Down-arrow, and choose a "Sound Effect, 'or' None!"
This should fix the 'echo.'

Click on the "Apply and OK" button when finished!

Open the sound manager and then reset all the 3D effects to default or to none.

When you say echo, are you meaning sound coming from your mic echoing thru the speakers or a sound like your in a bathroom on all audio.

If you are referring to the mic issue, then open your volume control and make sure that MIC is muted in playback setttings

If you are refering to bathroom sound on everything , it is called a "environmental setting" and in in your sound cards software setup, like their version of the volume control or some other application they have installed for you to configure your card. Just locate the "environmental" setting and disable it / set it to none.

look in the control panel there should be something there for the sound, it should be something like a sound effect manager open it and disable it

your tv might have aux out on the back, I would use that first.
IF NOT, then you will need to use the cable box.  Insert the red and white plugs at the other end of  this cable into the AUDIO IN TV or cable box connectors on the 
media center. 
Be sure to match red to red and white to white. 
3. Use your TV remote control to turn the TV speakers 
down to minimum volume. 
This prevents the echo effect of audio playing 
through both the TV speakers and your 3•2•1® 
system speakers. 

if it has a microphone you may be having you're microphone echoing whats coming out of you're speakers to disable it

windows vista:right click the speaker in you're tray click recording devices and click disable

windows xp:rigt click speaker icon in you're tray and click open volume comtrol and mute the current microphone

The echo you hear is the audio delay between your TV speakers and Bose speakers. Muting (or lowering the volume) on the TV will eliminate the echo. Some TVs have a setting to turn of TV speakers entirely, allowing you to listen to your TVs audio strictly through your Bose system.

I had this problem. I right clicked on the speaker icon at the bottom right hand corner of the screen, selected playback devices, left clicked to highlight the 'speakers' (realtek in my case) then clicked properties in the lower right of the open window, clicked on the enhancements tab, and found that my sound effect properties had been changed to auditorium. I clicked the selection arrow and changed the enhancements to 'none'. Oh happy day! No more echo.

Well, there is 2 option here, 1) your sound speakers are not connected corretly or in the right slots on the sound card.
2) your sound card, (internal or external) you have to use the mixer on software to put the right channels for the music you heard. try configuring in control panel, in multimedia devices, the speakers. for 5.1 system, or 2 way speakers or 3
try again

What motherboard are you using? Does it have a Volume effects changer option on its Sound Card? Try changing that option first.
