From what I could find, this machine has a one-step buttonhole feature.

I found these instructions for a Singer one-step that may be of help - http://www.singerco.com/resources/buttonhole.html

Husqvarnaviking Jade 20 buttonhole Lever

If the buttonhole lever on your Husqvarna Viking Jade 20 sewing machine is not lowering enough to reach the buttonhole foot, it may be misaligned or not properly adjusted. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the Buttonhole Foot: Ensure that the buttonhole foot is properly installed and in the correct position. If the foot is not positioned correctly, it may interfere with the buttonhole lever.
  2. Check the Buttonhole Lever: Inspect the buttonhole lever for any damage or debris that may be causing it to get stuck or misaligned. Clean the lever and surrounding area with a soft, dry cloth.
  3. Adjust the Buttonhole Lever: You may need to adjust the position of the buttonhole lever to ensure that it aligns with the buttonhole foot. Refer to your sewing machine's manual for instructions on how to adjust the buttonhole lever.
  4. Contact a Professional: If you are still experiencing issues with the buttonhole lever, it may be best to contact a professional sewing machine repair technician who can diagnose and fix the issue.
It's possible that other users may have experienced a similar issue with the buttonhole lever on the Husqvarna Viking Jade 20 sewing machine. You may want to search online forums or communities dedicated to sewing and sewing machine repairs to see if there are any helpful tips or solutions.

JANOME NEW HOME MY EXCEL 18W / MW3018 FREE ARM SEWING MACHINE -

Here are the steps to sew a buttonhole on the Janome New Home My Excel 18W/MW3018 sewing machine:
  1. Attach the buttonhole foot to the machine.
  2. Place the button in the back of the buttonhole foot and adjust the foot so that the button fits snugly.
  3. Select the buttonhole stitch on the machine. It may be a buttonhole symbol or a number corresponding to the buttonhole stitch.
  4. Set the stitch length to the desired length for the buttonhole. The machine may have preset lengths or you can adjust it manually.
  5. Place the fabric under the foot and lower the foot.
  6. Sew the first side of the buttonhole. Stop the machine when it reaches the end of the buttonhole.
  7. Sew the second side of the buttonhole, stopping at the end.
  8. Use a seam ripper or scissors to open the buttonhole carefully.
  9. Remove the fabric from the machine and trim any loose threads.
Make sure to practice on a scrap piece of fabric before sewing the buttonhole on your project.

Can i use a walking foot to make a buttonhole on my 320 alna sewing machine

I don't see any reason to use a walking foot for sewing a buttonhole. The purpose of a walking foot is to move the top and bottom fabrics together. Feed dogs sometimes tend to move the lower fabric faster than the top fabric--a walking foot helps prevent that.

If you don't have a buttonhole foot for your machine, you can still stitch a buttonhole using a different presser foot.

Hi can’t make the button hole big enough using the special one step Pfaff foot . Won’t go bigger than 8mm

It could be that 8mm is the limit for the buttonhole foot. You can try making buttonholes manually with the sewing machine. Not really difficult. Just need to be careful marking the buttonhole and stitching. Recommend practicing on scrap fabric before trying it on the project.

How do you use the buttonhole foot on a babylock companion 1550

1.Mark position and length of buttonhole on fabric.
2.Set button on the base and slide base forward to secure button.
* If button does not fit on the base, adjust slide on base to diameter of button plus thickness of button.
a= Length of button + thickness
3.Pass upper thread through the hole of buttonhole foot and attach buttonhole foot to machine.
Bring upper and bobbin threads to the left under foot.
4.Position fabric under presser foot so that the center line mark is in the center of the needle opening in the buttonhole foot. With the main part of the foot pushed to the back, lower the presser foot lever.
5.Lower the buttonhole foot lever so it is positioned behind the raised finger on the foot (see step 5 illustration). a
Note:Machine will not start to sew if buttonhole lever is not lowered properly or buttonhole foot is not positioned correctly.
Note:If machine does not reset for second buttonhole, be sure the presser foot raised finger is pressed against the lever.
6.Hold upper thread lightly and start the machine.

Instructions for making a buttonhole

The method will depend on your make & model machine, although the vintage sewing machine buttonhole method will work on all zig-zag machines (just requires manually measuring and adjusting the stitch length & width during the process):

Be sure there is a stabilizer between the fabric where the buttonhole is located so the fabric will not stretch or tear.

My 4423 will not advance when I have all the settings set to sew a simple buttonhole. Why?

do you have a manual?
do you have the buttonhole lever pulled down?
if these suggestions don't help then the machine needs to be checked at a sewing machine shop

I have a 9960 singer machine and am trying to use the buttonhole presser foot for the first time and I can not get it to sew T

the buttonhole foot snaps on to the presser bar, there's a little lever at the back of the presser bar that releases the foot, then put the buttonhole foot down on the needle plate & use the presser foot lifter (number 11) to lower the presser bar down onto the buttonhole foot & you'll hear a click sound when it snaps on & make sure to use the buttonhole lever(number 31) because the machine won't sew a buttonhole unless that lever is pulled down.

How do i use the automatic buttonhole on kenmore 19233??

Your machine should have a special buttonhole foot which has a place to insert a button, You will probably have to pull on opposite ends of the foot to open it. Place the button in the foot and then squeeze it together to make the button secure. Attach the foot to the machine. It should snap on.
looking at the left side of the machine you will see your needle bar at the front and the presser foot bar at the back. You should also see another lever which needs to be pulled down so that it rests in the buttonhole foot.Select buttonhole on your machine and it should sew. The button determines how long the buttonhole is.
