Whirlpool Pump - Hums, no water flow...

I have a Wow Pump UltraJet 1.25hp Airswitch 115v 1010111 F35A01A03 for a whirlpool type tub. Haven't run pump for several months but it worked fine last time I used it... Now it won't circulate water. The motor just hums... The motor also gets hot - lack of cooling water flow I would imagine. Any ideas on what to check?

Water level in tub is good. No blocks I can find in lines or pump. No debris in pump I can see.

The impeller and/or motor shaft is stuck or seized. If accessible you can try rotating the motor shaft with a visegrip plier or similar tool to see if it will come lose. Otherwise you should consider having the pump taken out and overhauled. Often the shaft seal begins leaking and result in water damage to the motor bearings. Bearings can be replaced, but compare labor and parts for overhaul to simply replacing the whole pump.

Pump hums but nothing happens

Sounds like the pump impeller is stuck. Shut off the power and check to see if the pump has a small round cover on the end opposite from the pump. Some pump motors have a slotted shaft that you can insert a screw driver and manually turn back and forth to loosen the stuck impeller otherwise drain the tub and remove the pump to access the impeller and attempt to free it.
Hope this helps.

Aqua Glass whirlpool, Indulgence collection, pump turns on and works briefly, then jets stop.

First of all, what you have is a WOW pump that has an E-switch for a control.
There is a knob on the top lip of your tub that you turn a 1/4 turn to turn this pump on/off.
There is a small circuit board inside the box on top of the motor. This is likely the source of your problem.
Here is your biggest problem. That little circuit board is not made anymore. We have the e-switch but you will be better off changing out the pump (which you have to do anyway) with a new WOW pump with an air switch and change the switch on the top lip of the tub to an air button which will turn the pump on/off.

If your bath pump LD7A-C will not shut off when you push the air button then the AIR SWITCH in the motor needs to be replaced.
This is a pretty common problem with Bath Pumps and easily fixed.

We have a whirlpool bathtub. The pump is running but it won't take in any air and the jets aren't putting out any water. Do you know what the problem might be?

Is the pump running or just humming? If it is running and you do not have water flow then you may have an air lock in your system. The way to solve the air lock is to fill the tub with water and turn on the pump. Once you have done that then loosen the pump union on the top of the pump (discharge) until you get some water coming out. If that was the problem then the jets will start churning out water

Wirlpool bath pump doesn't stay on.

If this is a new unit you need to complain to whoever you bought it from. somehow it doesnt surprise me with the kohler name on it. I used to work for a company that sold mostly kohler stuff.

Jetted bath tub has stopped working. Motor hums

look on the back of the motor there should be a shaft that you can try to turn to spin free because something inside the pump is blocking it. rate me if this is helpful.

Whirlpool DU8900 XT-5 the water comes in at beginning of cycle and the heater heats the water, but the machine does not go any further. it kinda' hums but no water gets pumped and moving. at end of cycle...

if you can hear a low humming noise when it should be pumping water round, then suspect the circulating pump.
fault can be motor capacitor - low cost part
or
pump seized - see if you can turn it by hand
