Top Loader? That sounds like a gearbox problem. It is not an easy fix. With that much use and those many years, it is probably time for a new one. A new High Efficiency Front Loader, will save you a fortune in water, electricity and detergent.
Try this forum though if you want to try and get it fixed.
a loud noise comes when you forget to remove shipping bolts after installation or if the shocks are worn out it makes noise thirdly the bearings might be worn out if the washer is more than 6years old
If it is a front loader, then remove the rear panel, remove the belt, and soin drum by hand, if it feels rough, or is noisy and rumbling, then the main drum bearings have failed.
This is a major repair.
Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping/or sound during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.
Sounds like the switch which cuts the machine off when the load is unbalanced. My guess is that:
This switch is being triggered too easily
The springs holding the bowl up are either stretched or one is broken;
The machine may not be level.
when washing cloths after spin cycle cloths comes out with greese spots
atf6000es1 won't spin on normal wash, but will spin on spin only cycle
