Electrolux Washing Machines - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

How much trouble do you want to go to?

If you just want to preserve the washing, then simply put it on another cycle tonight and that will keep it fresh until the callout turns up to fix it.

The next clever step is to power the machine off at the mains for 10 minutes. Depriving it of power MAY release the interlock door switch even if the cycle didnt.

Final attempt to get to it... Turn off power, unplug at the mains. drag the machine out so you can see the back. Remove the 2 screws that hold the top on, pull back or tap the top forward (depending on the model) to unclip it. Peer inside. You will see the door switch inside the chassis exactly in line with the door handle on the outside. See if you manually make the mechanism release, or if you have a stubby philips screwdriver, you can probably unscrew the switch complely.

If you trust yourself NEVER to open the door in the middle of a cycle, the machine will of course function without a switch. Just so long as you recognise that you will flood the place if you do open it with water in. Also if you put your hand inside dirung a wash (Or worse still a spin) the power of the motor combined with the weight of the wet washing will rip the arm clean off a fully grown man, so if you doubt yourself or you have kids (or kids may visit) don't leave it like this.

check the top edge of the front panel, sometimes there's two clips, one on the left top and one on the right top of panel. undo the clips and it should come off. Or if there are no clips you might have to just lift up to clear a notched edge. Clips could also be on the bottom, Either way most machines have a second way of holding the panels or tops on. hope this helped.

It sounds like the water level sensor needs replacing if it is overfilling, but that is not what E10 says here.

Try this

Washing machine displays error message E10, C1 or emits 1 beep / 1 flash. It indicates problem with not taking in water, not taken in enough water or problems with the drain.Feb 20, 2019

Can you turn off your overdrive? When towing most vehicles have an overdrive off mode. You can’t tow in 5th or 6th gear and may confuse computer and put car in protection loop mode.

I don't think you have all the correct error code. should be an "F" number before the "E" number. does make a difference. I want to give you the correct info.

If you remove the drain hose, and lay it down low as possable, it will drain the water out by gravity, this might help you out.

You may need to remove the front panel like on my Frigidare washer. Removing the retaining spring ring holding the seal may be tricky.
I learned from watching a repairman do it.

My filter got clogged because the drum impellers tend to break a piece and let change and stuff go to the filter.
