I have a sny projection tv with a bad power board. Can i get tech instructions on how to test the board? Can Iget a new board somewere? KP-n5377

TEN blinks - Check for shorts, leakage, or bad solder connections on the " D" board. If the transistors are bad, "D" board.

High voltage in TV got problem and that's why TV gives 10 time blink error code.
Qualified TV tech will fix it as its bit complicated fix.

Parts are available but problem of High Voltage Protection (10 times blink) requires high expertise and experience of TV repair.

You must know how to test transistors, resistors using the multimeter if you are going to DIY.
If you don't have necessary tools and test instrument and can't troubleshoot the unit yourself, I would advice you to seek for an assistance of a qualified TV Technician to isolate the above faulty parts.

You will have more then one fuse on this TV set. Check for the letter F follow by a number to find the rest of the fuses and test them all.

According to the tech manual I looked at, it's a bad board - it just doesn't say which board. Sorry. Looks like it's making a trip to the shop.

This set has two 5 amp fuses on power board that feed the convergence circuit, did you test them?

I needed I can provide photo of that board, fuses are pico fuses and not glass.

Replace convergence out ICs to get it fixed.
You can replace these chips if you can replace parts in circuit board with proper tools or ask local tv tech.

Set screen voltages. To get to the adjustment board, take the front speaker grill off (two screws at the bottom left and right) and set it aside. No need to disconnect any wires. Then remove the plywood board with 4 screws that exposes the screen/focus adjustments. The top 3 adjustments are for focus, and you need not mess with these. The bottom 3 adjustments are for Red/Blue/Green screen voltage rough adjustments. My screen showed red lines, so I had to turn the bottom right adjustment with a philips head screwdriver just slightly until the red gun retrace lines where no longer visible.

you need to replace both convergence ICs they are easy to install. You need two STK392-560 ICs you can get them at the following link and they provide free installation instructions as well as free online messaging with a repair tech while youre donig the repair. It takes about 45 minutes to do the repair and you will save about 400.00 by doing it yourself. Heres the link I am one of thier repair/support techs. This is a very easy repair.
