Whirlpool LGC5000PQ0 I've taken off the back and found that I can't access the part there. There are no bolts on the front panel. I was able to lift the top a bit and noticed that there are bolts holding the top down as well so I can't gain access this way. I also noticed bolts on the inside of the dryer holding the front panel in place. It appears that this was bolted from the inside out. I looked underneath the dryer and did not see any bolts here either. I can't figure out how to service this dryer as there are no visible bolts - any help would be appreciated.

if the washer is a Whirlpool built you need to go through the front of the unit the back panel lifts up and two clips hold the outer can on and onece removed you can access all components

Remove the lid screws. Remove the two screws that hold the sheet metal towards the front. This is easier to do if you move the mainboard housing too. There may be one or 2 on the inside mounting the face plate to the machine. Disconnect the ribbon cable off the mainboard located at the top of the dryer. You need to lift up on this to remove the head of the mainboard/display board. Three 1/4 bolts on the kick plate. Pull it down. Take two 1/4 in bolts off the bottom. Unscrew the two on the top of the door housing located behind the main display you've removed, but only turn them a little bit because they are meant to hold it in place and don't need to be completely removed. Disconnect the mosture sensor connector in the bottom left hand corner by the kick plate. Lift up on the door panel to lift the screw holes above the bolts you slightly unscrewed and the door will pop off exposing the inside of the dryer. It's a nightmare.

Remove the screws on top panel in the back. Take top off. Then remove screws on inside of front panel. Release the belt from the tensioner. Now lift up on the drum and pull forward. Now you should have access.

Remove the screws on the back of the top panel, slide the panel back about a half of an inch and lift off. You will then have access to the control panel.

To access that door switch what ya need to do is firstly remove the top by removing the screws from the rear of it and slide the top toward the back then lift it off.then you see it the back side of the front panel at the top screws that hold the front panel to the remainder of the cabinet remove those screws and the front panel will come off where as ya can access the door switch.

You will need to remove the top panel, then the front panel in order to access the dryer interior on this model. With the dryer UNPLUGGED, follow these steps:
1. Locate the screws for the top panel in the REAR of the dryer. With the screws removed, the top panel should slide back, then lift off so you can access the screws holding the front panel in place.
2. Disconnect the door switch connector and any ground wires that may be attached to the front panel. Then, remove the panel screw on each side that holds the front in place. With the screws removed, the panel will lift up, then come off.

below the door the panel is held onto the frame with clips. Use a putty knife to get it out yer way.

You have to remove the front panel first to access the clip that holds the front of the top down. Instructions:

crosstip medium screwdriver
1/4 inch socket
5/15 inch socket

1. UNPLUG DRYER
   
2. TURN OFF GAS
   
3. Disassemble by taking apart the FRONT of the dryer:
   
   a. Remove the door and opposite side door plugs (crosstip screws)
   
   b. Remove the front panel - this exposes sheet metal bolts (5/16 inch) some with crosstip on left and right of unit. Set panel aside (right side) WITHOUT unplugging wires
   
   c. Unscrew all the exposed bolts.
   
   d. Top bolts left and right secure the unpainted metal hooks which secures the top of dryer. Unscrew these bolts and wiggle the metal retainer hooks off. Lift top and support to create 6 inch gap in the front (top unit hinges in back and has electrical connections - do NOT disconnect wires)
   
   e. Release belt from pulley by reaching left and under drum (this is out of sight)
   
   f. gently lift out drum and belt and set aside
   
4. This has exposed the interior.
