GGW9200 Dryer Does Not Dry. Status Light goes immediately to Wet

if the heat is only staying on for a few seconds and cutting out the vent line could be clogged, pull out the dryer, remove the vent line from the back and start it,if the heat stays on the vent is blocked, this is the easiest thing to start with,if the vent is clogged you can try a leaf blower and blow the lint out of the vent line

Igniter starts to glow for 3-5 sec while making noise every minute or so

Check the thermocouple it is going bad or already has and that is why the gas valve is not staying open.

No heat, just installed, is there a reset button ?

Recheck your wiring and make sure that you properly reconnected everything you disconnect during the repair. And how about the pilot light? Did you light that? If you have pilotless ignition check that circuit for operation.

Whirlpool dryer was making loud squeaking noise. Now it is not turning at all. Makes a noise when you turn it on, but stops completely.

Check the drum belt. Check the drum rollers on the back & glides on the front that the drum rides on also check the idler pully. Check the felt the drum rides on in case it came loose and won't let the drum turn. Did it hum when you started it if so could be the motor. Good luck

On whirlpool LG5201XTWOThe dryer wont heat-it over 5 hrs to dry a load. it would not turn off on automatic side & just keeps running. it turned off on the timed side

The clothes are not drying than usually means a venting problem, the vent needs to be clear and no sags to collect moisture also, as short and straight as possible.

If it's not making heat the humidity sensor will never dry out, therefore it keeps running. It sounds like your heating element is bad.

Black soot in dryer

There are several possible causes: a)  exhaust vent is restricted forcing the lint to enter the dryer shell and overheat and/or be picked up by the blower -- you seem to have inspected this b)  check the hot gas inlet to the drum.. on some dryers, lint buildup can occur in tight spots and it will overheat and char c)  ducting is not intact or leaks allowing lint to leak into the dryer shell -- this will occur over time, and all dryers should be taken apart and cleaned out on a regular basis... also, all ducting should be inspected and sealed as needed d)  verify that the inlet vents to the dryer shell are not blocked and allow adequate air flow to the burner assembly -- natural gas normally won't smoke due to incomplete combustion, but..  likewise, verify the room has adequate ventilation particularly if the utility room or closet is very small,  e)  check the drum drive belt, as it gets old, it will release dust and minute pieces which will be picked up by the blower -- replace if needed... f)  verify that the seals on the drum are still good -- replace as needed g)  as 'washer-tech' advised, do a thorough cleaning and inspection... put it back together with all ducting tight and free flowing

Can not get Main Drum Motor To start all other

This can be caused by the main belt being broken or out of its track. Either way, it isn't an expensive repair. If you attempt this yourself, make sure that you find the diagram for the routing of the belt in a service manual before beginning the job. Some of the models have unusual looping of the belt at the motor and tensioner.

Duet gas dryer noise after ignition

Hi Teresa BradshawThe following is for an electric dryer, but the problem is the same...Noisy RollersALWAYS UNPLUG/UNHOOK THE ELECTRICAL ON YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRSYour problem sounds like the drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication, or maybe your drum belt has slipped off of the idler arm pulley.Note: This method works with most front loading machines. Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer if you have to.Note: Some tops hinge and tilt backwards so they do not have to be removed and the electrical console with stay with the lid. Also remove the lint filter and the screws holding the lint filter housing in place. Be REAL CAREFUL not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch. Then remove the top of the dryer.Remove the front of the dryer by removing two screws located on either side of the top of the dryer housing and unplug the door switch. This will expose the drum and belt. Remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm pulley and motor. Now is a good time to replace the front felt seal on the drum if it needs to be replaced. Be sure to use a good grade of weatherproof cement on the seal to glue it to the drum, sometimes the glue is furnished with the seal. Now is also a good time to check the belt to see if it has slipped off of the idler arm pulley and also to check the belt condition for wear.Be sure to note the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt.Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots or wear they will make a thumping type of noise. If your drum rollers have too much wear on them replace them.If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them and are only squeeling then they probably only need lubrication. Remove the rollers and clean the shafts that the roller rolls on, remove any hair, dust, etc from roller and shaft.Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil, or a light lubricant like Vaseline. Reassemble the dryer.Plug back into your electrical receptical. This should solve your noise problem.

My dryer has power to

There could be a number of things wrong, but the first thing to check is if the belt is ok. There should be a switch near the motor that turns the dryer off if there is no belt. (Or a broken one).
