I want to install my HP 6310 printer on my home computer, but I can not find the installation disk. How can I install it?

Just type in Officejet 6310 http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html or you can choose automatic and it will find the driver for you.

You can try the original drivers, but if they do not work, have a Google about for updated drivers.

Choose your operating system of the computer you want to install it on and download to your desktop. Install your printer now.

You need to make sure that does it print or not. If it is printer then you need to disconnected printer HP 6310 printer and uninstall hp software using printer installation disk after that reboot your computer and reinstall completed printer software.

Hook up the printer.  Turn it and the computer on.  Let Windows find the printer. Windows will ask you if you have the disk. Insert the disk then. If you need aditional help look at the web link for the HP printer that you have.  See Link Below:

Try installing that instead..

Or if you want to persevere with your disk, I suggest maybe right clicking on the installation .exe file, when you explore the disk, and clicking properties and running the program with admin privileges.. it might seem that you, in fact, ARE the administrator but Vista has the annoying User Access Control feature that has caused me problems in the past. User Access Control is only useful in an office, I have mine turned off. You can do this in Control Panel, User Accounts...
Anyway, I would probably suggest that latest driverpack download.
