Jura Error Codes Capresso Parts

Error 8 is a general error for not being in sync. There is a encoder disk that tracks where all the mechanical pieces are during the process. When they are not where they are supposed to be its an Error 8. This can be caused by a jamb, being dirty, faulty sensor... lots of stuff. Probably means your unit needs to be disassembled and cleaned.
The quick way to clear this is pulling the cord out of the wall and wait a few seconds and plug it back it. This will cause everything to reset and usually clears the error... until you can clean it.
If you need help, parts guru has videos on youtube, parts and will rebuild you brew group for you. I have repaired mine 2x.

This is the 2nd time in a month since I've had this machine that I had to call support for the same problem. An easy fix! I was instructed to remove the whole 'drawer assembly' and remove the grounds bucket. Insert the assembly without the bucket. Wait a minute, take it out again and replace the bucket. Then you're ready to go. Hope this helps.

In my case the brew group is jammed in the down position - so I could not remove the grounds bucket. I think error 8 may be when the motor is stuck (over taxed) or the brew group is out of position. I opened up the right hand side after removing the back with the jura oval key tool https://www.jura-parts.com/ then removed the metal panel with a tiny torx head screwdriver I could manipulate the cog on the screw thread with my hands - it was very tight. Lubricated this and it seems to be working now.

hi did you ever fix this problem, i too have this - i know it is because of coffee sludge built up in the system but i want to know how to open the machine and give it a good clean - cant seem to work out how to do it though.

The switch or photo sensor is not sensing any beans present.
So it can't continue
Use torch to inspect bean entry area
Small brush etc

The Touchdisplay is defective. You need to send the machine to service to have the display changed.
