Your processor is a Pentium 4 processor that uses there are 3 different type of sockets for Pentium processors. Socket 423, socket 478, and the latest one is socket 775.
Based on the information here:

http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T-Series&model=T4150

Your MoBo has a Socket 478 and since it only support 400MHz bus, then your maximum upgrade is 2.0MHz, because all other devices faster than that, need higher bus speed that your Mother Board does not support.

Hope you find the answer useful.

Best regards,
/Farhad

Looking for a good plug and play cpu to upgrade from the sempron in the emachine t3616

Memory is RAM, not storage space like the hard drive.

The fastest CPU that fits socket S1 is the TL-68, but I wouldn't put it in your emachine because of heat and power consumption. Maybe give a TL-60 a try? They are only $5 on eBay.

Dell dimension maximum cpu upgrade

This desktop has a motherboard in it that has an intel LGA 775 processor socket in it. From the spec's I found the cpu that ships with the system should be able to scale up to 3.5 Ghz. But you should be able to replace it with any Pentium 4 that fits into an LGA 775 socket.

Can I upgrade my 2.8 Ghz CPU with the 3 2 GHz dual core 775socket BX80571E5800 CPU into my N1996 acer 671t desktop motherboard, and can I upgrade my 553/ddr2 ram with a 2nd 2G ddr2 800/ RAM (max 4x 1 G...

as long as the socket is exactly the same as the processor you are trying to upgrade to you should be good. As far as memory goes you can use a faster ddr2 chip but you have to find out what the maximum capacity is on each slot. Most newer computers can support 1gb+ per slot. Always make sure you install ram in pairs and in the proper slots.

I have a Pentium 4 1.7Ghz 478 socket 400mhz CPU in my Ps4800d-x motherboard. I want to upgrade to a faster processor. There are 3.2Ghz & 3.4Ghz available. But is there a maximum size I can install?

Open the link provided. These are the CPU's the motherboard can run.
http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=tElmFMz0YPEK37pl&content=specifications

P4-3.40 GHz (800 FSB, L2 cache:1MB, rev.G1) is the fastest CPU listed. The 1MB cache makes this CPU the fastest of the bunch. You may need to flash the bios in order to run this CPU. Click the Go button to the right of the CPU listed to update you're bios if bios version No# 1006.002 is not installed.

UPGRADING TO 2 GHZ

1. Check user documentation for supported CPUs for your system.
2. If 2.0GHz CPU is supported on your system, you don't need any additional software.
3. I would upgrade the BIOS firmware first. It might have an additional CPU support.
4. Read information from you old CPU. Exemple: 1.4GHz/256/400. 1.4GHz is a speed of your CPU. 256 is a 256k cache, and 400 is 400MHz BUS speed. In general you can boost speed to 2.0GHz or more and cache to 512k, just keep your BUS speed to 400
5. Post your system model or your motherboard model. That information would help in determining the maximum speed of the CPU for your system.

Good lick!

Sy-7vem soyo cpu upgrade

Most of the new boards will automatically detect the cpu speed. If possible set the bios to auto detect. Otherwise go to Soyo website and check the manual
