Use picasa...the easiest software to load the pictures on your computer. In the import wizard there is an option to specify whether to delete or keep them.

I have a Kodak Easyshare c913. My computer does not have a place for memory card. When I try transfering with it plugged in, not all the pictures transfer. Why?.

Hi there! What method are you using to transfer photos when you connect your camera to the computer? Does a Kodak program open up automatically and start doing it for you? If this is the case, it is possible there is a setting in it that only transfers the most recent photos--ones that have not been transferred before.

I would recommend using the Windows tool. It should automatically pop up when you connect your camera, and ask what you want to do. Choose "Open folder," as shown below. Once the folder opens, you can highlight all of the files and copy them, then paste them into a folder on your computer (I would recommend making a new folder under My Pictures). This method is basically treating your camera's memory card as an external hard drive--you are controlling what gets transferred, rather than letting a program try and guess for you.

Many photos have disappeared from my camera, it's a Canon PowerShot DS800 IS. After you've taken a bunch do they get stored somewhere automatically? I haven't deleted anything, and I can only see about 5...

Yes they should have been stored automatically to the camera's SD memory card. Take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, and take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.

I accidentally deleted videos and pictures from my Canon Power Shot Elph camera. It is still plugged into the computer, how do i get the files back without buying an expensive program?

You have chance to recover the lost photos with so-called photo recovery software(there is no free lunch). Well, since you failed to mention the OS you are running, I'll recommend you have a try of Wondershare Photo Recovery, a 29 bucks cost program equipped with both Windows and Mac versions. For Windows OS, download here. If you are running Mac OS X, get the program from this link.

Step-to-Step Instruction:

1. Download and install the trial version on your computer, then connect your camera memory card to the computer (I assume you are using Windows). Start Wondershare Photo Recovery and select the drive letter that assigned to camera memory card.
2. Then choose the file type (all, photo, video, music) click "Star Scan".
3. Now the scanning process will start automatically to look for the deleted items. You will then get a list of all recoverable ones.
4. Preview the photos. If your deleted ones are found, then you need pay to get the activation code. And click "Recover".

Take Care:
1. Take the free trial version before you buy.
2. Before your deleted items are recovered, do not take more photos or videos.

I hope you good luck. Greetings

I need help loading videos from my camera onto my laptop

Hello sarahmcgrath

Use the usb cable supplied with your digital camera and plug it into your computer. It then should automatically be detected and give you the option to transfer photos or videos to your computer. If this does not open check your My Computer for irremovable media drive. The memory card in the camera will show up as another driver letter open up then copy the photos or video from there to your computer.

Pleaes rate my solution, thanks
