I suspect that the top control board has blown , this happens when the brushes wear out in the motor, and short circuit the motor armature, which in turn blows the control board.
Either way it is likely to be an expensive repair, my advice to you would be to buy a new washer if it is more than 5 years old.
I know from experience that this is the most likely course.
The water level on the Hotpoint WMA range of machine should be below the door, check out the error code definition at this site. You probably have a pressure chamber blockage or partial blockage. There are also workshop manuals for the Hotpoint WMA & WM machines which run through this sort of repair.
Fault code F02 meaning Motor jammed / tacho detached: check motor & module connections.. on the motor plug check that a wire hasn't become dislodged or broken...
You can check the drain or the filter. You will have to pull it out of
the space it is now to access it. Items will get stuck in the drain
clogging it.
Open the washer door and spin the drum by hand, if it feels rough or noisy and rumbling, then the main drum bearings have failed. There should be little or no noise when you spin drum
This is a major repair, and I would not recommend a D.I.Y solution.
Other possibility is there is something in the pump, but you would only hear this when the pump is working.
The lights are set off by the balance sensors.And if your balance sensors are stopping it from spinning than you first have to make sure the washer is level.You could have bad Shocks and a bad electronic control board,.
sump hose filter blocked, running out of draining time, when you put it on again it allows more time to drain, remove sump hose and clean out internal filter.
