You can use FL studio it's easy to adjust and easy to work with. Also you can find more help then maybe any other software out there. Also you can find instructions on Youtube how to hook it up. Cake walk is another one, I think adobe audition can too use to be Cool Edit. You can try pro-tools but it's difficult, at least for me it was and finally Sony Acid does it too. Well good luck.

When recording on either Song or Audio, the keyboard only records about a minute and then says "Disk Drive Busy" and stops recording in the middle of the song. I did a factory reset=no joy

There could be a few different reasons why your keyboard is stopping recording after a minute. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Make sure that you have enough free space on your device to save the recording.
  2. Check to see if there are any other programs or processes running on your device that could be causing the issue. If you have other programs open, try closing them to see if that helps.
  3. Try turning off any antivirus software you have running on your device, as it could be causing conflicts with the recording process.
  4. Make sure that your device is updated to the latest version of its operating system.
  5. If you're using a digital audio workstation (DAW) to record, make sure that you have the latest version of the DAW software and that it is compatible with your device.
If you've tried all of these steps and you're still having trouble, it's possible that there could be an issue with the keyboard itself. In this case, you may want to try contacting the manufacturer for further assistance.

Need user manual for MK-4902 midi keyboard

Use LMMS software on PC. You will need a MIDI to USB cable which you can get on eBay.

The manual can be found at:

How can I send recordings to my laptop? I have a usb connector and i want to connect my portable grand to my laptop but the laptop does not detect the piano and i don't know what to press on the piano...

Hi mjaynneb,

I could be wrong here but I have a number of keyboards and the USB connection is usually for Midi control from software like Cubase and the like. If by recording you mean recording Audio then I think you'll find that it won't be possible using the USB port.

Midi is great and I use it a lot. It enables you to arrange music using your computer. Also you can record the music you play on the Keyboard on the computer as Midi. This means that the computer can play back through your arranger what you just played. Bear in mind though that Midi is purely numbers that represent notes, velocities and note duration so is not actually audio.

My keyboards have the ability to record to SD card or a Hard Drive, however if this is not a feature of your arranger then probably your best bet for recording audio from it is by using the Audio out ports of your arranger and using a connecting lead to a good low noise sound card on your computer. As you are using a laptop you can find external usb sound cards/interfaces so that should do fine. Then you could probably use something like Audacity which is free software, to record to a wav file.

I hope this helped.
Kind Regards

I cant connect my yamaha ypt 320 to my pc using the midi

Assuming you have a MIDI interface on your computer, you need to connect the MIDI cables between the keyboard and the PC. You cross connect, that is, in to out and vice versa. You will ALSO need the driver software for the interface in the PC AND most importantly, some software in the PC to handle the MIDI for instance to record.

How do i record drums from drum kit

Hello nastyneph320:
Computer connectivity (via USB, Ethernet or the FW16E FireWire option) and DAW integration features like 8 zone Master mode, DAW remote control and cross platform editors let you seamlessly integrate the Motif with any DAW software, including the bundled Cubase AI software.

Translated it means that you can use USB, Ethernet, or FireWire connection to your PC and use DAW or Cubase AI software for recording. But I'm pretty sure you could use some other type of software for recording as long as it accepts your Keyboard.

Don't forget to vote with a thumbs up if this helped.

Re: Casio WK-210. Audacity, Jet Audio and Ctrl Pnl allow me to choose a USB PnP "record from" option, however, no sound is being recorded from the Casio to the PC. What am I doing wrong. Many...

Pat, the USB output on the Casio WK-210 is only capable of sending and receiving MIDI information. It's not sending any digital or analog audio. Audacity is primarily for sound file editing.

In order to use the keyboard to record onto your computer you can connect an audio cable from the 1/8" stereo mini-jack to an input on your computer. Then you can record into Audacity.

Or you can acquire MIDI recording software (ie. Logic, Cubase) and then using the USB output on the keyboard, you can control and record multiple MIDI instruments in those programs.

I need to know what driver i need to download and where for my casio ctk - 720 keyboard

The keyboard should stand alone and NOT require any driver. Drivers are for PC's,

Now if you are trying to connect the keyboard to a PC, then that is a different story. You did not mention that.

For tying a keyboard into a PC there are both USB and MIDI connections. You haven't mentioned using either.

When talking to a keyboard you will need music editing software, not a driver. That software you purchase SHOULD have what you need as part of it. There are also editors for the parameters in the keyboard. MOST of that software has to be purchased, although you sometimes can find shareware. Some can be quite expensive.

Recording my voice through computer with keyboard

You need a Sampler. Either software or Hardware will work. A sampler is the device that will make it possible to play your voice on your keyboard. There are many software samplers available, take a look at websites like sweetwater.com or musiciansfriend.com and have a look at the pc software section. You will also need a MIDI connection for your computer to enable the keyboard to talk to your computer (runs around 50 bucks). I would look at a program like Sampletank or others.

Yamaha 61 key keyboard midi usb connected but what next

Depending on what you want to do...

If it's only music Mixing, you will have to plug your keyboard via audio jack to the line in of your computer. Then Audacity (free soft) can do the job.

If you want to edit midi file with your keybord you will need midi editor software like Linux-Rosegarden or if under windows try LMMS (all free soft of course).

Good luck
