Problems with Color printing

All of a sudden I am having problems printing color pictures or text. On the text every other line prints correctly, the other lines look as if the ink has run out. Test pages print perfectly. This happens on word documents as well as pictures. I have used the cleaning program several times which doesn't seem to help. The test pages look good but all other documents are poor.

How fix: HP LaserJet prints purple PDF as blue

Try uninstalling your PDF program, reboot and reinstall the latest version. It may be the way it is parsing the colours, if the Printer Test Page printed okay.

Problems with Color printing

nycdr:
I hope you are using original ink cartridges suggested by hp? Try cleaning the print heads. There is a utility that will do that. look under properties for your printer, or see if it is a separate program given by http://www.hp.com to it support site and find out. It varies by model. You can also do it using some of the buttons on the printer. You need to check the support section of the manufacturer's site to identify the exact sequence.

If those fail, replace the printer.

Why is my Canon Pixma 4820 suddenly leaving lighter lines through color pictures.

Worn print head. And for what they charge for a stinking print head you can get a new printer for less with a warranty to boot!

Uneven color lines

That is because it is printing the document as text. Not have=ing used a canon I presume it is the same as epson & HP. Instead of clicking the print icon click file print. A box should open allowing you to change the properties, seleect photo

My priter prints blue lines across all colored pictures or text.Any Idea? When printing black only, there is no problem.any colored - blue lines are added.I did reintal the drivers, used old and new but...

Have you tried cleaning the print heads or replacing the color cartridge? where as it it printing black fine it leads me to believe the problem lies in the color cartridge. my first recomendation would be to run the clean print head wizard in the printer settings and if that does not work then replace your color cartridge.

Horizontal lines in pictures

If you are using original cartridges then there should not be a problem. The horizontal lines come from the cartridge. Can you pinpoint if it is a color or black line that is missing? My guess is that during the alignment procedure, you are asked to choose a number or letter that corresponds to picture of a the lines that show the best alignment. If you did this correctly, may I ask how many pictures you printed before seeing that line. Is it on the first print or 10th printing? Cuz if it is on the 5th or more full color picture, then the problem is that you you really have the wrong printer. The F380 capacity for printing full color pictures is miniscule. 1 ml per color. So usually after the 3rd color picture, the ink starts to run out. Let me know if this helps.

HP psc 2175 skips when "copy"

replace the black print cartridge. I guess that the text is B&W. Pictures are printed in color - from the color ink cartridge.
