Need lynksys installation cd, do you know where I can find it?

Go to the Lynksys web site and look for drivers

type in run "appwiz.cpl" then press ok then you can see add remove programs try to remove it from there. If you are unable to uninstall it from there then download revo uninstaller from below link. Click here Download revo from above link and install then run revo then select your software and uninstall remove all registry keys when it ask for remove. Let me know if you need further assistance. Pop over to linksys and download the drivers you need.
You just need to put your model number into the search bar, choose your OS and download

If you do not have the drivers on media, then you will have to obtain them first. Can you temporarily hookup wired and get them downloaded? or use a usb flash drive on another computer to access and download the drivers...

Sounds like you need to update your firmware.

what u can try is that install the lynksis cd on the computer and then open the network connection and then right click on the wireless network connection and then click on the view available network and then connect to ur network connection and it should work or else the best way u can do is that u can call up dell technical support and they will be definately able to help u to connect to internet cause i really cannot explain all the details here cause it need to be done troubleshooting on ur computer practically by connecting the router with the laptop with the ethernet cable and when u connect the internet with the ethernet cable then the dell guys can take the remote session in ur computer so that they can help u to connect to internet wirelessly.

You need a cable or dsl modem to connect to the internet. From the modem you run an ethernet cable to the "broadband" or "Internet" port of your router.
Also make sure your lynksys is a router, not a switch

I called the help desk and they talked me through it. I was on the wrong website. I spelled linksys wrong and was at the wrong website. OOPS! Linksys not Lynksys! thanks Robin

Log in to your router and select the wireless tab. Then click on wireless security. Set your security mode, encryption type and create a key that will be needed to connect to the router wirelessly. Administration tab should be right next to status tab.
