Do you mean the bobbin winding shaft? If so, then you simply follow the directions in manual on page 27. With the front of the machine facing you, remove your filled bobbin from the ‘bobbin winding shaft, and press your left thumb up against the shaft just above the bobbin winder seat (place where you put ur empty bobbin) and push it in a left direction until it pops or snaps back to it’s original position.

Hi, Quite often with Brother machines there is no left/center/right needle position control but rather when the machine is set to sew straight the Stitch Width control will determine the needle positon.
While sewing straight try changing the Width(zig zag) control.
It is possible that it will only move from center to right.

SOURCE: Brother CS80 ..... bobbin winder

The rubber ring on the bottom end of the bobbin winder shaft has degraded, gone all sticky and is probably somewhere inside the casing. You need a new rubber ring fitted. If you are not handy take the machine to a repairer. There are more details elsewhere on Fixya about doing this.

Can't get my Brother Se400 to stitch. It's threaded correct and bobbin is right. Machine will go but not stitch

So, guessing the top and bobbin threads are not forming a stitch.

Install a brand new needle and verify it is installed correctly. If this doesn't help, then the machine is probably knocked out of time. Search for "sewing machine timing" or take it for service.

Brother 1100, was sewing , now it is froze, cant turn the wheel far either way, cleaned, wants to go but is stuck, I cant see any thread in bobbin plate but I think that is where issue is advise

You could check the bobbin winder shaft. If this is engaged the machine appears to have frozen while turned on. Move the bobbin winder shaft left, then right while checking the foot controller and you will soon know if this is the problem.

The bobbin won't stay in place

Your bobbin is too short. The correct bobbin must be even with the bobbin case. If it is the bobbin case that is moving around then you must adjust the inner rotary hook bracket assy. It must allow the thread to move between the corner (near screw) and the bobbin casing. Rotate the hand wheel towards you to make sure the thread fits between the corner and the casing. Make it as tight as possible without a snag taking place.
