Is the door equipped with glass defrost? If so , the board is looking for the heater strip around edge of glass. This can be in the chain of the interlock. This precheck, done as soon as pwr is connected, is to protect the compressor and the board. If not,,, check light switch for open door. Look for disconnected wire , plug. All my best , Russ.

SOURCE: Refrigerator will not cool

Do you mean the display won't go below 70 or that the actual temps won't go below 70? First try to unplug the refer for 20-30 seconds then plug it back in. Hopefully that will reset the levels to factory settings (usually around 0 for freezer and 36 for refer).

SOURCE: Sub Zero refrigerator

Its trying to tell you to call someone to clean the condensor.....nice feature! Sub-zero refrigs are very sensitive and will run too much and even possibly start icing in Refrig compartment.

SOURCE: Samsung double door refrigerator/freezer is not

I just had (have?) this same problem. I called out the repair man and in the end he suggested that I buy a new fridge because of all the problems reported with my model (RS2555SL) on the internet. Anyway, after a while I heard what sounded like a fan trying to spin on the fridge side. I unplugged the unit, removed the inside back panel on the fridge side. The entire coils and the fan had iced over. I removed all the ice, plugged the unit back in and it is now working. I will still replace this unit because I probably only corrected the symptom but the problem remains.

SOURCE: LG LRFD25850ST gives ER CO code on door

Good call Cooltech! My new LG "open box" deal from Best Buy must have been delivered once before. I hauled it home, plugged it in and Er CO was on the display. The doors must have been removed to get through tight spaces, exposing the bundle of wires and connectors under the left hinge cover. One wire had been repaired with a crimp lug, wire cut too short, and the crimp was no good. I soldered the connection and added 2" of wire so it wouldn't be stressed. Works!

SOURCE: Temperature and adjust refrigerator panel does not work.

problems exist in its electronic control panel that is damaged, this problem should be solved by replacing one block electronic circuit in the control panel. damage is usually caused by a memory of the troubled program. actually if you know you can fix the electronic control panel of the electronic circuit itself, simply replace the IC EEPROM or memory alone. follows with Cristal oscilator usually must be replaced too

Maytag refrigerator modelmfi2269vew1, how do I program a new main circuit board?

Fridge keeps beepingor buzzing:The following is for Frigidairemodels but others can be addressed similarly.

Several Frigidaire refrigerator models have an electronic control panel on the freezer door the owner can use to adjust the internal temperature, dispense ice and water and receive notification about issues such as the need to replace a water filter. The refrigerators also emit a beep for various actions and as an occasional alarm. Determining what causes the beeps necessitates some troubleshooting.
Temperature Controls
  • A Frigidaire refrigerator's display panel blinks when the control panel is touched to set temperature controls. After pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, press the arrow buttons within five seconds to increase or decrease the desired temperature. If you do not press the arrow buttons within five seconds after pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, the refrigerator beeps to indicate the current setting will stay in place.
Door Open
  • When you leave the refrigerator or freezer door open, the refrigerator beeps. Also, the "Door Ajar" indicator illuminates on the appliance's display panel. Shutting the door and pressing "Alarm Reset" stops the beeping and turns off the "Door Ajar" indicator light.
  • The Frigidaire refrigerator has a control lock feature that prevents use of its control panel or dispensers when the unit is locked. When the control lock is active, a beep sounds when a keypad or dispenser is pressed. Release the control lock by pressing the "Control Lock" icon for three seconds. A beep will sound, and the icon's light will go out.

Power Reset
  • A power reset is occasionally necessary if the Frigidaire refrigerator's control panel does not work normally or a reset function on the keypad does not work. A power reset involves disconnecting power to the refrigerator by unplugging its power cord from the electrical outlet, waiting 30 seconds and plugging the power cord back into the electrical outlet. When the control panel resets, a beep sounds. If the refrigerator beeps even after a power reset and the beeps' source is not known, contact Frigidaire.

How do I turn refrigerator back to what temp

FREEZER /FRIDGE NOT COOLING: Optimum refrigerator temperature at or below40° F(4° C). The freezer temperature should be0° F(-18° C). Check temperatures periodically. Appliance thermometers are the best way of knowing these

Check ur cold control thermostat, ur thermistors in both fridge and freezer ( they should be checked for both ohms and for amount of current being put out as per ur model ), ur air flow vent from freezer to fridge.( to make sure it opens and closes without any restrictions) On thermistors check for A close circuit and amount of ohms not just an Ohm reading. As per ur model. Most should atleast show 1200 ohms. Also Check door seals for leakage.

Kenmore refrigerator control box temp. keeps changing by itself

Your most likely cause is the $170 control board. It is the only thing that I know of that can change the temperature automatically. Please rate this post.

My refregirator temperature sometimes warms up 10 to 15 degrees higher when i open its doors to load it up with items and takes a long time to cool back down.

If your reading the display temp , your reading what the thermistors are telling the control board . NOT the actual temp inside . After closing the door , from the food that was already cold in the fridge , the coldness will keep the inside temp , the same temp as when you opened the door . The thermistors themselves will detect the warmness and send it to the board . A good way to try to put this acrsoo , is to put a thermometer between , say , 2 packages of salads . Wait a little while and open the door . Watch the display temp , then read the thermometer between the packages . The thermometer will stay the same , due to the coldness of the packages not changing . When you put food in the ref , the surrounding food will give off some of the coldness to the freshly installed food , thereby makeing it cold faster . After a while , this coldness will return to the thermistors and the display will start to drop in temp . Hard for me to put into words , except for , the temp reading will actaully be the same as the actual temp display , only when you FIRST open the door .
