I just bought a new Dell running 64-bit Vista Home Premium. My problem is, when trying to install my printer, it says the drivers are not compatible with the 64-bit operationg system. The Dell website has no other drivers. What do I do?

make sure your printer is compatable with vista .. many are not ... download the latest drivers if any are available for vista .. if new drivers are not provided then you could try to load the drivers using xp compatability mode ..

That is a problem I have run into myself. If there are no drivers available from the Printer manufacturer then you are stuck. Try looking at your printer manufacturer website for updated software, not drivers. Sometimes the solution is is in the Factory software.

First, here is a link to the vista 32 bit drivers. Install these drivers if you have not installed them before.

Second, if you are using Vista 64 bit, Dell does not make a driver for the 64 bit O/S. You can re-install your Vista to 32 bit or buy a printer that is compatible with 64 bit O/S
