My compaq presario power is Ok but have completely

Power down your Compaq Presario F500 notebook computer. Remove the unit's internal battery from its housing compartment.
Use a screwdriver to unscrew and remove all of the screws from the bottom panel of your Compaq Presario F500. Use your hands to lift off the bottom panel, revealing the inside of the notebook computer.
Look for the CMOS/BIOS chip: It will be located in the center of your computer's motherboard, which is itself located in the center of the case.
Remove the small battery from its housing compartment on the CMOS/BIOS chip. Then, press and hold the "Power" button on the laptop's case for a few seconds. This will completely discharge all electricity from the device.
Replace the CMOS/BIOS' battery. Place the bottom panel of the notebook computer back on and screw it back into place. Place the Compaq Presario F500's battery back into its housing compartment and press the "Power" button to turn it on. Your CMOS/BIOS will now be completely reset.

please clean memory stick pins and slots first if not ok, check next

1) plug in adapter to check jack led lights on or not, if no lights on no switch on.
2) if the jack lights on, then to switch on laptop, will be showing the more lights on, you are hearing cpu fan running. if nothing appear or every thing running with dark screen, or hard to switch it off go next
3) pull out the wireless card then switch on again, see what happened, if ok change a new card, if not ok, it is motherboard hardware issue

Compaq Presario f700 NOTEBOOK.
first off im amazed it can even blink bark or glow at all
laptop are scaled in DOG YEARs.
my first guess is the not tried yet, exernal VGA jack works
so only your screen is bad.
as all are now with CCFL lamps dead or its power pack.
called "inverter"
the lamps go dim, yellow ,flicker then die, all do if CCFL
best is upgrade top LED laptop and w7 and newer OS.
the BIOS pages must work or the screen is bad
seems power is ok, to me. and you.
it came with VISTA.

this is bad or the inverter card that drives is is bad if BIOS FAILs
to show in the screen, My best guess, no tests by me,
testing is the only sure way to fix problems not guessing.
why not get tech to fix it?

replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

check the ram, try remove and reinstall, one by one if more then one or try other free slots.

I would like to help but it sounds like it's over heated and needs a repair guy to look at it

check whether the display is coming on monitor or not through the vga port, if the display is there then its the problem of display panel, if not then the fault is in motherboard of the laptop

Sounds like a motherboard issue on the video side. Since they are integrated together there is no easy take a part out fix except to change out the motherboard.

Remove the battery, plug the wall adapter in and try to boot. If it works, the battery is the problem. If not; is the green indicator on the power brick on? If not, replace the power supply brick. If all the above is ok, the problem is internal and I would be guessing without testing.
