SOURCE: circulation fans quit running after we shut down

check the door switches and see if they are engaging when the doors are shut. they are mounted just above each door. If just one is not being pressed in it will keep all of the inside fans off. also there is afan delay mounted by the inside coil that will keep the fans off until the coill cools to a certain set point to prevent recirculating hot air. depending on conditions it may take the fans a good 15 minutes to come on ,or longer in a very hot start up.

SOURCE: my upright freezer compressor is running but the

The problem is the evap. fan has gone bad. Part # WR60X10235, cost approx. $120.00 or the TJ90sm999 is one that will fit all of them which is only $25.00 and in my opinion a much better fan. Hope this helps. The sm999 has been around for years and is a universal fan which is easily adapted to fit all 115 volt evap fans like yours.

SOURCE: Model BHD-301 dehumidifier compressor will

Hi bash123er,

If you're facing these problem that your dehumidifier is not producing water and compressor is shutting off then there are few things that needed to be checked on:

1. The very common problem with most dehumidifiers is the circuit board relay. If this has gone bad then it will require replacement.

2. The compressor has already gone bad. This is the problem if you notice a buzzing sound every now and then from the system.

3. You may also have a refrigerant leak. This happens when the compressor is running but coils are not getting cold at all.

4. There will be cause of low water production if the fan is not running and the compressor does. If fan is not running then you have to replace it. This also will result frozen coil.

5. Check to see also if your coil is blocked. This will also result into no water production.Air needs to be continually moved over the cold coil to get the water out of the air.

If you're not comfortable doing the checking and repair yourself then I would recommend that you contact a repairman.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Cooling quit suddenly in both

First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it seems
to be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Check cold control (thats where you turn it colder)

Kenmore elite model 795797739900 not getting cold enough cold air circulating but not cold

Check to be sure both fan in freezer and fan at compressor is running. If fans are running and compressor is running continuously, most likely it’s a freon blockage or leak problem.

Should the fan operate all the time in my refrigerator

Most of the time it runs only when the compressor is running. In other words compressor and fans will run together when the fridge thermostat ask for cold and stops together when thermostat is satisfied. In newer fridges some time inside fan (evaporator fan) might PERIODICALLY run without compressor to circulate little cool air to fridge compartment from freezer compartment.

Rangemaster sxs cream . Why is my fridge and freezer the same temp ???? If anybody could give me an answer or solution.

Jason,
MOST refrigerators get there cold from the freezer side and circulate it via a fan that's also normally inside the freezer. There are three motors normally in a refrigeration system. The inside Evaporator fan motor that circulates air across the evaporator coil inside the box, the Condenser fan motor near the compressor that cools the freon after compression, and the compressor itself. If you open the doors (and sometimes you may have to hold in the door switches) do you hear a fan running? If not you could have a couple things going on: 1. The fan(s) has failed. 2. The freezer Evap coil may of iced over and the fan too is frozen stopped. 3. Your condensing unit:(compressor, condenser fan, condenser coils) has a problem.
It is important to know if the compressor itself is running. If there is a loose connection to the compressor via the start/over load relay (normally attaches directly onto the compressor), or if the start/over load otself is bad the compressor will not run. Best way to tell is via gauges but I doubt your frig has ports. Check to see if your compressor is really hot. Could be bad start/over load relay or bad compressor. Try unplugging your frig for say 30 min then, with your hand on top of a cool compressor, plug the frig back in and see if compressor smoothly vibrates for at least 5 min without becoming very hot or shutting off even though fan continues to run. The fact your fan is running TYPICALLY means the thermostat is calling for lower temps and the fan/compressor kick in together.

Is the compressor turning on? The fan may be running, but you will not get cooling effect unless the compressor is circulating refrigerant. It appears your unit is a 2.5 ton unit. What is the square footage of the space being cooled? Is the space insulated?

Just purchased a Danby dehumidifier (model # DDR6O11R). I was wondering when the dehumidifier reaches the programmed level of humidity (example: 40%). Is the unit suppose to shut off completely? I believe...

Depending on which mode you have the unit set on, will determine if it shots OFF entirely or the fan continues to run. In the Constant or Continual mode, the compressor will turn OFF, once the humidity extraction level has been reached. But, the fan will continue to operate, in an effort to keep the air circulating, so that if the humidity level rises, the compressor will turn ON and start extracting again.

In Timed Mode (usually 2 hour or 4 hour) , when the compressor turns OFF the fan does too.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have a Danby Silhouette and the fan works but the dehumidifier doesnt.

Bryan, it may imply be a case of the humidity extraction level being set to high. Lower the level to 35% and see what happens. As far as the fan running is concerned. Most dehumidifiers are designed for the fan to run, even if the compressor doesn't turn ON. It's designed to keep the air circulating and if the humidity rises above the setting you have it on, the humidity sensor will pick up this change and turn the compressor ON.

Also, remove the air intake filter to see if it's clogged and needs cleaning. Maintain at least a minimum of 12" of free air space all around the dehumidifier. Poor air circulation will prevent the unit from working properly. As will, to low an ambient air tempeature. Most unit struggle to work at temperature between 40 & 60 degrees F.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

You may have the humidity setting to high. Try lowering it to 45%. Or if yours doesn't have an LED Screen, set it for minimum. Also, check and clean the air intake filter, if you haven't already. Keep in mind, most dehumidifiers have a fan that may seem to run constantly, but the compressor doesn't turn ON. The fan is circulating air, in a effort to detect humidity levels that are higher than what you have the humidity removal set on.

Hope this helped you.

Freezer on bottom is working normally, but refrigerator on top is warm. The condensor fan is working, condensor is clean, compressor runs.

The condenser fan only circulates air around the condenser and compressor. There should be another fan that circulates the air around the refrigerator, it should be located inside of the freezer section at the rear. I would look for this fan and see if it is operating first.
